"Mystic Pop-Up Bar" Recap: Will Weol Joo Complete Her Mission and be Reborn?

Chief Gwi met his mother, the queen Shin Ji Hye. Her spirit reincarnated after she woke up in a coma. She began to remember her past life. Chief Gwi is the crown prince spirit, but Weol Joo doesn't know. 

She realized what her actions of the past made the crown prince suffer for 500 years. During that time, she arranged the crown prince's marriage to a daughter of a noble family to gain power for their kingdom. But the crown prince committed suicide because of the crime he made.

Chief Gwi did not have the chance to be reborn to another life. He chose to protect and be with Weol Joo. Yeomra-Daewang (the God of the underworld) allowed Chief Gwi to work with Weol Joo after completing his service in the afterlife police agency.

Weol Joo took her own life in the past without knowing that she was pregnant. At the same time, giving bad luck to the sacred tree. Because of what she did, many souls suffered as the sacred tree lost its power to heal the land.

Yeombujang was possessed by his son Wonghyung with an evil spirit who escaped from hell. Weol Joo and Chief Gwi didn't know that Yeombujang plans to send their spirit to the hell of extinction and suffer the way he did for the past 500 years. In the past life, Wonghyung serves the royal family. He was beheaded by the crown prince when he killed Weol Joo's mother. He came back for revenge.

Weol Joo only needs to solve two grudges to complete her task. Wonghyung watches over them to let Weol Joo fail her mission.

Meanwhile, Kang Bae grew up as an orphan and never had a foster family. They called him "the cursed boy" because anyone who touches him would share their problem and dark secrets in life. He never had a happy childhood and worked hard to support himself. 

Meeting Weol Joo and Chief Gwi gave him hope to be cured. Yeo-rin is the only girl who can stay and get near Kang Bae, where his ability is not used. 

Yeo-rin is a reincarnated Cinnabar from the past. She possesses mystical power the same as Kang Bae. Knowing this, Weol Joo needs to let Kang Bae and Yeo-rin have a true love kiss to sync their power.

The queen Shin Ji tried to meddle by letting Weol Hoo know that  Chief Gwi is the crown prince she loved. But Chief Gwi decided not to let her know. This way, he can protect and guide her. 

Wonghyung killed Shin Ji and took away her spirit. His plans didn't work while trying to persuade Shin Ji to let Weol Joo knew Chief Gwi's real identity.

On her day to buy supplies for the bar, she heard Kang Bae talking to Yeo-rin. She was surprised as the poetic lines Kang Bae used to allure Yeo-rin. They are the same lines her beloved prince used to express to her in the past.

Kang Bae told her that Chief Gwi shared and advised to use those words to Yeo-rin. Weol Joo thought the whole time that Chief Gwi stands by her side.
