"Dinner Mate" revolves around a man and a woman who are tired of love and romantic relationships after experiencing heartbreaks. Kim Hae Kyung (Song Seung Heon) is a psychiatrist and a food psychologist, while Woo Do Hee (Seo Ji Hye) is a producing director. They unexpectedly meet at a restaurant as they wait in line for their table. The hostess of the restaurant mistook them as a couple, making them sit in the same table.
But through their unconventional first encounter, they discover a bond that made them continue to meet in restaurants and have dinner dates. These dates allow them to recover from their emotional wounds and start to find love again through their love for food.

The ending of Jung Jae Hyuk and Jin No Eul's one-sided romance

Jung Jae Hyuk even created a made-up story about how he saved Woo Do Hee after he deliberately knocked off a few lights on the set.
