Filipina Celebrity Reacts to News About Woo Do Hwan's Military Enlistment
On June 25, "The King: Eternal Monarch" star Woo Do Hwan announced that he would be enlisting for his mandatory military service in July. The actor posted a handwritten letter on his social media account for his fans.
Woo Do Hwan's fame skyrocketed due to his dual roles in "The King: Eternal Monarch," portraying the King's ever-loyal best friend and the captain of the guards, Jo Young, and the easy-going Jo Eun-Sup in the Republic of Korea.
This is why a lot of his fans were surprised and saddened for his sudden enlistment. Nevertheless, Woo Do Hwan's fans still wished him good luck with his training and service in the military, even his co-star Kim Go Eun took to the comments section to share her reaction.
The actress posted a crying emoji under the actor's post, his self-penned letter regarding his impending enlistment. But what has caught the attention of Filipino fans is that one Filipino celebrity also dropped a comment on social media, expressing her surprise to Woo Do Hwan's update.
The Filipino star that we are referring to is the actress, singer, model, and television host named Marydale "Maymay" Entrata, an avid fan and follower of Korean actor Woo Do Hwan. She has also been spotted earlier, leaving a comment on Woo Do Hwan's previous post.
In the comments section on, the Filipina star commented in Philippine language, "Hala ano daw? (crying emoji)," which means, "Oh my! What Do you mean?"
This goes to show that she is also heartbroken by the actor's sudden enlistment, like many Filipinos and other international fans of the K-drama superstar.
