Han So Hee’s Mother Allegedly Exposed By An Anonymous Netizen As A Scammer
On July 18, an anonymous netizen posted of Nate Pann, saying that she has been scammed by the mother of an actress from "The World of The Married," causing a buzz on the site.
Later on, it was revealed that the person is referring to the mother of Han So Hee, who played the mistress Yeo Da Kyung in the JTBC drama. She purposely shared the post to expose that Han So Hee's mother is a con artist. The netizen said she took part in a cooperative group "kye mo-im," headed by So Hee's mother, where the members pay an installment monthly as a central fund, then each member will receive a big sum that was accumulated for the month until all members will get it.
According to the online user, she gave KRW 2,450,000 (approximately USD 2000) monthly from October 2015 until August 2016 for the central fund. The netizen claimed that So Hee's mother ghosted her when it was her turn to receive the amount in September 2016. She tried many approaches but to no avail.
When the netizen threatened that she would report it to the police, she reached out. The netizen even tried to look for Han So Hee and her managing agency just to get ahold of So Hee's mother in Seoul due to desperation.
The netizen said So Hee's mother doesn't have any central fund left to give because she spent all the money. Other group members talked the netizen into taking it to court when she promised that she would sign a debt acknowledgment form so she can pay the netizen back monthly.
Unfortunately, the mother changed her phone number and did not reply to the netizen's messages. The netizen also told her that she would waive the interest, but she insisted on giving her the full amount once Han So Hee makes it big on TV and gets some money.
The netizen has feelings of resentment for Han So Hee and her mom for what happened, as the netizen wanted to use the money to chase her dream and but her life fell apart instead. The netizen only wanted to punish her for what she did and added that she was very angry when she sees Han So Hee on TV.
The online user even thought that maybe, Han So Hee got where she is right now because of the money, and can't stop comparing life with Han So Hee, knowing her mother is a scammer.
When "The World of the Married" became a success, she tried reaching out to Han So Hee because she wasn't paid back even after four years.
The netizen claimed, "I gave her the option to pay me back on a monthly basis. But over the four years, she would bring me a small amount of money once a while. When So Hee's drama became a hit, I tried reaching out again, but she had her phone number changed again. I was able to track her down by asking around. When I finally got in touch with her, she said she no longer communicates with her daughter."
Instead of getting backslash from the netizens, many Koreans sympathized with the actress, saying it's not her duty to pay off her mother's debt since she grew up with her grandmother when her parents got divorced.
