Song Joong Ki, Jeon Yeo Bin, and 2PM Taecyeon Confirmed to Play The Lead Roles in tvN's "Vincenzo"

Korean superstars Song Joong Ki, Jeon Yeo Bin, and 2PM's Taecyeon are confirmed to play the lead roles in the forthcoming tvN drama "Vincenzo"!

tvN's upcoming drama will feature the story of the Italian lawyer and Mafia consigliere named Vincenzo Cassano who came back to South Korea because of conflicts and problems within his organization. He eventually got involved with the resilient lawyer Hong Cha Young.

They work together in attaining justice through unconventional ways. The drama will bring a sense of relief to the viewers as the dark heroes go to a head-on war with the real villain who cannot be caught and brought down using the right and just methods.

This drama will be helmed by the "Money Flower" and "The Crowned Clown" director Kim Hee Won and he will be working alongside screenwriter Park Jae Bum who also wrote wrote "Good Manager" and "The Fiery Priest," together they will create the upcoming tvN drama titled "Vincenzo."

The Hallyu star Song Joong Ki will portray the main character, Vincenzo Cassano, the Italian lawyer and Mafia consigliere. He is a Korean descent who was adopted at a young age and was raised by an Italian family. With his unparalleled negotiation skills and charm, Vincenzo goes out to seek revenge.

Upon his arrival in Korea, he discovers a deep-rooted and villainous cartel and eventually got involved with Hong Cha Young, a lawyer. The latter will do anything to win a case. Working together, they will resolve some issues that he has.

The character of Hong Cha Young will be portrayed by actress Jeon Yeo Bin who is the said lawyer at Korea's best law firm Woosang. She is very observant as to how advantageous or disadvantageous of a situation that someone is in. However, her sense of decision somehow changed when he meets Vincenzo Cassano.

2PM's Taecyeon, who was first confirmed to star in the said drama, will portray the role of Jang Jun Woo. He is a good looking and smart intern working at a legal firm. He also has some experience of living in another country. His personality will be a carefree man who always smiles but a bit clumsy at times with a one of a kind attitude. His trust in Hong Cha Young is unbreakable as his senior at his work. But with Vincenzo Cassano around, it triggers his competitive side.

"Vincenzo" production team shared that this drama is a black comedy featuring the dark heroes who serve justice and punishes the bad guys by using the strategy of the villains. The teamwork between the individual characters is essential to the drama as its creative theme and dynamic plot. The flawless line up of actors who will enhance the roles of one another is now complete, and the viewers should anticipate this thrilling drama.

According to some sources, the drama's cast lineup also includes Yang Kyung Won, Kim Yeo Jin, and Kwak Dong Yeon, among others and have held its first script reading on August 9.

"Vincenzo" is schedule to premiere in the first half of 2021.
