Well-known director Hirokazu Kore-eda confirmed to make his first-ever Korean film with lead stars Sang Kang Ho, Bae Doo Na, and Gang Do Won!

Critically-acclaimed director Hirokazu Kore-Eda is currently making his way into Korean entertainment by making his first Korean film entitled "Broker." His film will follow a mysterious vessel called a "Baby box," which is created for people who decide to leave their babies in light of not being able to raise them. These people are allowed to place infants inside the vessel anonymously. Director Hirokazu Kore-Eda is known internationally for his critically-acclaimed works. In 2013, Director Hirokazu Kore-Eda was able to bring home the Jury Prize at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival for his film "Like Father, Like Son." He also deservingly won the Palme d'Or, which is the highest award a participant can receive in the same awards show in 2018 for his drama entitled "Shoplifters."

CJ Entertainment recently confirmed the official lead casting of the upcoming film. Director Hirokazu Kore-eda further supported the news when he mentioned how the film was conceptualized. According to Director Hirokazu, the film, "Broker," was birthed five years ago, and the potential lead actors of the film were always on their mind. The director also mentioned how he met actor Song Kang Ho from the oscar-winning film "Parasite" at the Busan International Film Festival and actor Gang Dong-Won the "Train to Busan" sequel, "Peninsula" at Tokyo. The director thought that they seemed to always bump into each other. At first, it just small talk and greeting, but after a few more meetings, they talked about a possible collaboration in the film "Broker."

Director Hirokazu Kore-eda also mentions his past works with actress Bae Doo Na in the year 2009. Their previous work together was a Japanese film entitled "Air Doll," where Bae Doo Na played the role of an inflatable doll who gains human conscience and falls in love with the person who owns her. He says that he wanted to work with the actress again, except Bae Doo Na will be portraying a human person. According to Director Hirokazu, it has been ten whole years since he last worked with actress Bae Doo Na and he is ecstatic that his dream of working with her again this time of year will finally happen.

Director Hirokazu Kore-Eda ended his statement by complimenting his cast and crew in the future film. He declares the fact that he will be working with the most talented team and Korean actors that he greatly looks up to. He also mentions how he is very excited to work on the film's script, which will be the one to bring out the personalities of the three lead actors. He hopes to give an exciting, impactful, and heart whelming film that will stay in the minds of viewers. The same as his last film, Director Hirokazu will be working away from his hometown and own language. He is excited to answer the questions he often gets through his upcoming Korean movie "Broker."

"Broker" is produced by Zip Cinema and distributed by CJ Entertainment and will be aired in the year 2021.
