Song Ji Hyo Talks About Her Memorable Moments With The Cast of “Was It Love”
In a recent interview interview, Song Ji Hyo was asked about what she felt when "Was It Love?" ended. The actress answered by saying that she was relieved at first because it was finally over, but also felt sad because she knew the director, cast, and crew, whom she saw every day for a very long time, had to part ways. The actress couldn't believe that the drama was ending.
"Was It Love?" is a romance drama following a single mother named No Ae Jung, who is portrayed by Song Ji Hyo. She works as a producer in a movie company, and she hasn't been in a relationship for 14 years. As she is about to give up on finding the man who would sweep her off her feet, four men named Oh Dae Ho, Ryu Jin, Koo Pa Do, and Oh Yeon Woo, suddenly enter into the picture and will go on lengths to win her heart. No Ae Jung suddenly takes an unexpected chapter in her life as she lives her life with four potential romances.
Song Ji Hyo portrayed single mother, Noh Ae Jung, for five whole months and said a few words about her character portrayal in the romance drama. She described her character to be optimistic and loving, yet also hardworking and passionate about her career as a movie producer. She shared that Noh Ae Jung was the type of woman who would do anything and everything for her dreams and her family.
Song Ji Hyo also mentioned that she wanted to portray her character as someone who has experienced a lot of struggles and a realistic person who viewers can all relate to.
When she was asked about the four potential romances that Noh Ae Jung had in the drama, Song Ji Hyo said it was a very different experience for her because, in the previous dramas that she has portrayed, she was used to having love triangle romances. It was a new experience for her having to be involved with four charming men. During the filming, the atmosphere and the chemistry between the characters were quite different.
Comparing characters Oh Dae Ho, Ryu Jin, Koo Pa Do, and Oh Yeon Woo from each other, the actress says that her character had a lot of bickering with Oh Dae Ho. With Ryu Jin, she felt a senior-junior friendly relationship. Oh Yeon Woo, who was the teacher of No Ae Jung's daughter, was adorable while Goo Pa Do was a very supportive friend.
The actress also mentions how the atmosphere in the set was always cheerful because the cast's ages weren't at all far from each other. During their breaks, they were able to talk about their lives, which made them a lot closer to each other.
When asked what her favorite scene was, the actress quoted a line in which her character said: "I have no plans to depend on you. My dream is to become Wonder Woman, not Cinderella." This was the line that made the actress believe that No Ae Jung was a tough and determined woman.
