Two Production Staff Members of Upcoming Drama “Penthouse” Were Reportedly Injured
Currently, the filming and production of the upcoming drama "Penthouse" are in process. Today, October 7th, reports were released that two staff members have been injured on the set.
According to some sources, two staff members reportedly acquired some injuries during a fire scene as the flames grew unexpectedly bigger. Based on some reports, these two staffs are camera crew doing their job at an outdoor fire scene at the SBS Tanhyeon Production Center in the city of Goyang in Ilsan.
Because of this accident, the filming scheduled for the day was halted completely. The said injuries were minor, and the two camera crew could come back to work after two days.
The drama "Penthouse" gave their announcement through an official statement, and they explained the incident that occurred. They stated that about three weeks ago, the two staff members of this production acquired minor abrasions and burns due to an accident that occurred unexpectedly. The flames grew bigger while filming a fire scene. The production decided to halt the filming and provided both materially and psychologically for the injured staff members' treatment.
The production asks for an apology to the cast and crew of the said project, which must have been traumatized by the incident. "Penthouse" will resume the filming process and rest assured that the product will provide a safer filming environment. Again, the production is deeply sorry to everyone, including the cast, crew, and viewers, and will do the very best to film safely.
The upcoming SBS drama "Penthouse" is set around the luxury Penthouse Apartment with 100 floors. It will tell the story of a woman named Sim Soo Ryeon, who is doing her best to achieve her goal of being part of the high society through her plan of becoming the "queen" in the 100th-floor penthouse in Gangnam, which she considers as the peak of her success. Sim Soo Ryeon will be portrayed by actress Lee Ji Ah. Her character is into the wealthy elegant woman of the upper class. She is married to Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon) who is a successful in his business and real estate.
Other cast member includes Kim So Yeon who will play the character of Cheon Seo-Jin who is also a woman born from a rich family. However, she is quite arrogant. She is married to Ha Yoon Cheol (Yoon Jong Hoon) who is a chief surgeon at a general hospital and an ambitious man. On the other hand, Eugene will portray the character of Oh Yoon Hee a girl who comes from a poor family background. She's hardworking and will do everything for her children's success. She aims to belong to the upper class for the sake of her children. The drama will also show the struggles of women who have no choice but to become villains to protect themselves
"Penthouse" is scheduled to premiere as planned on October 26 following the ending of "Do You Like Brahms?"
