The 11th Korean Film Festival in Australia (KoFFiA) will be pushed through in the virtual community this year. KoFFiA will be holding its online event from October 29 to November 5.

For the first time, the Korean Film Festival in Australia will be held online in their 11th year. The festival will be screening 18 Korean feature films hosted by the Korean Cultural Centre Australia. Film and Korean culture enthusiasts residing in Australia are all welcome to participate in the free online event.

KoFFiA is an annual film festival showcases various Korean feature films for all the supporters of Hallyu fever in Australia. This year, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, KoFFiA offers free online streaming of 18 Korean films. Park So Jeong, KoFFiA's chairwoman, stated that this year's free online event is their way to show their gratitude to the enthusiasts continued love and support for Korean Cinema, despite the crisis that the world is facing this year.

The line-up of the films to be screened this year consists of various feature movies from different genres that showcases the skills of the Korean actors. Here are some of the movies participating in the film festival:

Baseball Girl

Baseball Girl

A story about Soo-in, a female baseball player known for her staggering 130kph pitch. Because of her gender, Soo-in will be challenged against the obstacles about her physical strength capabilities. 

Baseball Girl is directed by Choi Yun Tae, starring Lee Joo Young (Itaewon Class), Lee Jun Hyun (365: Repeat the Year), and Yeom Hye Ran (When the Camellia Blooms).

Family Affair

Family Affair

A movie about three siblings longing for their mother who left after the tragic loss of their brother. After their mother came back, the family will be set together on a road trip that will rest the emotions that are kept inside them for a long time.

Family Affair is directed by Lee Dong Eun, starring Jang Hye Jin (Parasite), Tae In Ho (Soul Mechanic), and Lee Ga Seub (Zombie Detective).

A movie based on a novel in the same title, that discussed society's gender bias at that time.

Kim Ji Young Born, 1982 is directed by Kim Do Young, starring Jung Yu Mi (The School Nurse Flies) and Gong Yoo (Goblin, Train to Busan).

These are just some of the movies that the viewers can choose from in the free online streaming offer of the Korean Film Festival in Australia. Moving OnMe and Me, A Boy and Sungreen, Bring Me Home, Fukuoka, Our Body, My Punch-drunk Boxer, Mr. Zoo: The Missing VIP, Forbidden Dream, Maggie, Lucky Chan-sil, and The House of Us are the remaining movies that complete the list.

KoFFia will be held from October 29 to November 5.
