Kim Min-Jae as Park Joon Young Talks About Recent Drama 'Do You Like Brahms?'
Indulging, the best word to describe whenever you started hearing the piano performance, played by actor Kim Min-Jae in the recently ended series 'Do You Like Brahms?'
Park Joon Young is an elite pianist who has been playing the piano since he was six. He is a very talented pianist that captured the heart of Chae Song-ah which eventually became the love of his life. Just this October 20, the drama ended and a lot of fans were astounded as to how the plot was made and it was light in the heart and if you are a musical fan this drama is definitely for you.
To summarize his recent interview with Star News, the actor said that he is glad it ended safely and feels that the drama is not over yet. He highlighted that his brother and cousin don't watched the drama but said they will keep watching it. Many even approached the actor saying they want to take a ride while watching this drama. "Many people liked it!" He added.
When asked why many people liked it, he responded that maybe because the drama is calm. The script seemed a bit different, plus the acting. Basically, he thinks it is because of the calmness that many people like the drama.
To make the role come to life, he asked a lot of questions to the piano teacher who was with the staff as to how the proper gesture should be executed and the role of Joon Young doesn't really have a particular character motif. He had a hard time to get into character but he pulled it off really well, eventually.
He even mentioned to give thanks to fans by playing the piano for them as he wanted to do it only when the coronavirus pandemic situation is over. Surely, many will be excited and looks forward to this.
The role he played was a work that gave the actor the courage and confidence that showed how good and versatile the actor is. In order to achieve this, he practiced a lot it he put a lot of hard work when playing the role.
When he asked about working with the female lead Park Eun Bin as Chae Song Ah, he jokingly said, "When I was born, Eunbin Park had already acted."
He added that he relied a lot on Eun Bin as she was a solid person.The audience even called his acting like a fox, but the actor doesn't see it that way.
The chemistry between the two leads received a lot of praise and love form the viewers. And if given a chance to win at this year's SBS Drama Awards, he would gladly receive it but the actor humbly replied that he is not looking forward to it at all. Knowing he has been in two drama series this year, including Dr. Romantic 2, which also gotten positive reviews from the audience, 2020 has been a good year to the actor. He may eventually have a slot in winning an award.
He concluded the interview, that in the future, he wants to become an actor that many people believe and see. He wanted so much to be that kind of an actor.
This twenty-four year surely has a long way to go but somehow has proven he is a good actor. We hope to see more of Kim Min Jae in the future.
