First, director Kim Jung-min, who will be directing the drama, expressed his aspirations, saying, "I hope it will end well without any major accidents." Actors also drew much attention by revealing their expectations and doing excellent role-playing.

As the full-scale script reading began, the actors showed vivid synchronicity with their characters in a perfectly assimilated form in the Joseon Dynasty. Kim Myung-soo, who explained his role as Seong-gyeom, a brilliant and intelligent friend who uses weapons well and speaks well, revealed the scene brightly by showing off a serious look and perfecting comic acting with brilliant gestures.

Kwon Na-ra, also showed amazing chemistry with Myung Soo. She embodied the character of Hong Da-in, the female lead who has natural virtue and charisma.

Lee Yi-Kyung also perfectly melded with the role of Park Chun-sam, a personality full of affection, showed off his character's joyful charm, and brought forth a lot of laughter in the room. Also, Lee Tae-hwan showed an incredible sense of presence with a soft yet solid appearance. In an atmosphere where the laughter never ceases, all actors exude a desperate charm, exchanging their lines, and raising expectations for the drama.

L of INFINITE, or Kim Myung Soo, is all set to appear in the upcoming historical drama "Secret Royal Inspector" alongside Kwon Nara.

According to Asian Wiki, "Secret Royal Inspector" is set towards the end of the Joseon era, where Sung Yi-Gyeom (Kim Myung Soo) placed first in the state examination. He now works at the Hongmungwan (administrative and research department without a goal or ambition for his life. One day, Sung Yi-Gyeom is caught gambling.

As punishment, he is assigned to work as a secret royal inspector. His job is to eradicate illegal acts and corruption by public officers. He carries out his new job with Hong Da-In (Kwon Nara) and Park Chun-Sam (Lee Yi-Kyung). Hong Da-In is a female inspector and solves cases with Sung Yi-Gyeom. Park Chun-Sam is Sung Yi-Gyeom's servant.

Park Chun-Sam is talkative, affectionate, and tearful. Meanwhile, Sung Yi-Beom (Lee Tae-Hwan) is Sung Yi-Gyeom's younger stepbrother. His father is a nobleman, but his mother is a slave. Due to his mother's low social status, his father does not accept him as his real son, and he is barred from having certain opportunities. He opposes his older stepbrother Sung Yi-Gyeom.

The stills released earlier by KBS2 express Kim Myung Soo's character's duality, where he pulls off both a serious look and a comedic expression and keeps switching back and forth between the two. KBS2 had previously released Kim Myung Soo's female lead for the drama, Kwon Nara, which shows her as a gorgeous but sharp gisaeng.
