Jeong Jin Woon Thanks His Girlfriend Kyungri for All Her Support
"Dream High 2" actor Jeong Jin Woon expressed his gratitude to his girlfriend Kyungri for all the support she had given him when he was in the military.
In an episode of "Video Star" that aired on Nov. 17, 2AM's Jeong Jin Woon became emotional as he tearfully thanked his girlfriend actress and former 9MUSES member Kyungri. The singer and actor shot for the said show just three weeks after being discharged from the military.
Jeong Jin Woon was interviewed with a series of questions in the show. He was asked what he'd desired to do once discharged. The singer and actor quickly responded that he immediately got a perm (to style the hair permanently) on the day he left the military since he couldn't have a perm during his service. The celebrity expressed, "I felt pampered as I had my hair done and just relaxed as I drink my Americano."
As the talk continued, Jeong Jin Woon expressed his gratitude to his girlfriend Kyungri for all the support he received from her. The singer and actor stated, "Kyungri was present to all the visiting sessions except for two or three." He added, "Honestly, I am willing to go back to the military because I want to experience the feeling of excitement of her visits once again. I mean, that is how happy I was with her presence."
Then he was asked about what he likes about his girlfriend. He responded, "She's amazing and she was there for me, supporting me during my most difficult time and until now she supports and believes in me."
Jeong Jin Woon also shared that before he entered the military, he felt very sorry for Kyungri because she needs to sacrifice and wait for him. He had even discussed that it might be better if they broke up. However, Kyungri chose to stay and see how things would go. Jeong Jin Woon claimed that they were able to stay together because of all the efforts she made to make it work, which includes her regular visits when he was in the military.
When Jeong Jin Woon was instructed to send a video message to Kyungri, he looked at the camera and expressed, "Thank you very much for waiting."Then, he began to shed a tear and paused for a moment to wipe the tears. He explained that when the news of their dating was made known to the public, he was not there, so she had to be all by herself doing all the interviews on her own and had to go through such a hard time. Then he waved to Kyungri with a big smile and stated, "I love you."
In November 2019, the couple confirmed that they are in a relationship and have been dating since late 2017.
He also shared his experience to be in the same unit as SHINee's Key and BTOB's Changsub since they were all in the same military band. Jeong Jin Woon expressed, "A lot of fans would come over when Key and Changsub went to events, however, for my case; there would just be a few people who knew me that would come over."
He continued sharing that SHINee's Key even received so many fan letters that they wouldn't even make all the letters fit inside a car. And as for Jeong Jin Woon, his fan's letters could all just fit in a notebook.
