Check out Kim Myung Soo and Lee Yi Kyung’s Fun Bromance in Their Upcoming Drama with Kwon Na Ra
A Korean drama will never be complete without a fun bromance relationship within its male cast.
The upcoming comedy-mystery drama that was set in the Joseon dynasty, "Secret Royal Inspector," is gaining a buzz because of its actors, Kim Myung Soo and Lee Yi Kyung's bromance!
The lead role, Sung Yi Kyum, will be played by the singer and actor Kim Myung Soo. After he was caught in the act of gambling, he was punished to be a secret royal inspector. His job is to visit the provinces as an undercover in order to know and hear the stories of the people living in the areas, and end illegal acts such as corruption and injustices.
On the other hand, Lee Yi Kyung plays Park Choon Sam, a talkative, affectionate, and a comic public official at Hongmungwan. Since childhood, he grew up assisting Sung Yi Kyung every time he needed it. Through the years of living and being together, their friendship had grown, and become closer to each other.
Park Choon Sam is a loyal and passionate servant to Sung Yi Kyum. But, even though they have been working with each other for years, these two men have different life experiences, they have built a strong friendship of more than just brothers, so their chemistry and story will become an important part of the upcoming drama.
It can be seen in the photos that Sung Yi Kyung and Park Choon Sam look warm and cozy with each other. The bromance friendship between the two is evident through the stills released for the drama. They are like brothers spending time together in a comfortable manner and casually talking without hierarchy.
The extraordinary affection of the characters is receiving expectations for they are both great actors. People, especially the fans, are excited to see more of their bromance scenes, that will surely give an interesting and comedic vibe.
Meanwhile, besides from the fun bromance, Kim Myung Soo will also have his female lead Kwon Na Ra. She will be playing the character of Hong Da In, a woman who works for Joseon government office). Da In will be undercover as a gisaeng (a well-trained artist who entertained men through music and arts).
While doing her mission, she will cross paths with Sung Yi Kyum and join forces to fight the injustices in their place.
"Secret Royal Inspector" is scheduled to premiere on Dec. 21 at 9:30 p.m (KST), every Monday and Tuesday. The drama is directed by Kim Jung Min, and the script is written by Park Seong Hun. Actor Lee Yi Kyung was also known for his comedic role in "Welcome to Waikiki" Season 1 and Season 2. He was dubbed as "Gwaenchana Gwaenchana" for his playful facial expressions in the said series. Kwon Na Ra had her big break as an actress for her portrayal as Oh Soo A in the hit Korean drama "Itaewon Class." She was also a former member of the K-pop girl group "HELLOVENUS."
Meanwhile, as an actor and idol, Kim Myung Soo has made a lot of good performances from stage to screen, and he is on his way of building his own name in the entertainment industry.
