WATCH: 'True Beauty' Reveals Sneak Peek of Cha Eun Woo and Moon Ga Young’s Unfortunate Relationship
tvN's upcoming drama "True Beauty" unveiled a sneak peek of the drama's first episode which features the unfortunate relationship of its main leads!
"True Beauty" is a remake of the hit webtoon with the same title. The drama is a romantic-comedy that centers its story on the character of Lim Ju Gyeong (Moon Ga Young), a high school girl who is very insecure about her physical appearance. To gain self confidence, she learns the art of applying makeup. When she puts on her makeup, she instantly transforms into a beautiful goddess.
Lim Ju Gyeong then crosses paths with Lee Su Ho, starred by Cha Eun Woo, a famous boy in school. All the girls in school are attracted to him, however, he isn't interested in them. He seems a bit cold and aloof because he carries his own emotional scars but he is actually very kind. Both characters will open their secrets to one another and eventually grow and learn to heal through love.
The clip starts in a scene where Lee Su Ho enters into a comic book store and asking the person in charge of a horror series title. Then, he went inside to get the book he was searching for. The book store owner watches him in awe stating that he had known Lee Su Ho for a decade and it seems like he hasn't changed a bit.
The store owner was about to put back his headphones when Lee Su Ho suddenly shouted and brings the book to the counter to complain that it's broken. The owner then tried to explain and reason out that he can just begin with the second book in the series, Lee Su Ho throws a shade at him by stating, "When you sing the national anthem, do you skip the first verse?"
Lee Su Ho added, "When you watch a soccer match, do you only watch the second half? It's the same with life, I guess you should just skip January and start living from February."
But instead of getting angry with Lee Su Ho, he realizes the point and the owner agrees to place an order for the book, but Lee Su Ho went out of the store before he can finish.
As soon as Lee Su Ho goes out of the store, Lim Ju Gyeong and her father Lim Jae Pil (Park Ho San) riding a truck passed by him. Lim Ju Gyeong was relaxing when Lim Jae Pil informs her that they're almost at their destination. She gets up and rolls down the window as she takes the sheet mask off her face.
But before she even gets hold of her mask, the wind blew the mask and landed straight onto Lee Su Ho's face. He felt embarrassed as children pass by and laugh at him. Looking back, Lim Ju Gyeong covers her mouth in shock and looked again at Lee Su Ho in the truck's mirror whispering her sorry to him.
