Jo In Sung and Cha Tae Hyun to Work Together in tvN’s Upcoming Variety Show
Jo In Sung and Cha Tae Hyun will be working together in a new variety program, and everyone is excited about their team-up!
On Dec. 30, tvN confirmed that the two actors are preparing to work together in their upcoming variety show. The former "2 Days, 1 Night" production director Yoo Ho Jin will also be the one to produce the upcoming variety show. He had also already worked with Cha Tae Hyun before in tvN's entertainment program "Hometown Flex."
Meanwhile, actor Jo In Sung is known as Cha Tae Hyun's best friend, so viewers are already expecting that it will not only be a great entertainment show but it will also showcase the actors' friendly relationship. After being inactive in the industry, this will be the first-ever appearance of Jo In Sung on a TV variety program.
Jo In Sung became a guest on KBS2's "2 Days, 1 Night" in 2014 and MBC's "Radio Star" in 2018. In the previous shows, the actor has been open about his best friend, Cha Tae Hyun.
Recently, Jo In Sung also made an unexpected appearance at the "2020 MBC Broadcasting Entertainment Awards" to deliver the grand prize award. He also shared that he has been receiving a lot of support from MBC this year, "I received a lot of comfort and support from MBC Entertainment this year."
Last September (2020), the 39-year-old actor was also reportedly received an offer to cast in a new drama, "Moving," with actress Han Hyo Joo who will also be returning on the small screen after her last drama "W." However, there is no confirmation yet. Still, if he accepts the offer, it will be his first drama lead appearance in two years. Cha Tae Hyun also received an offer to star in the said drama with his best friend.
"Moving" is a supernatural drama that tells the story of high school students' growth and their parents who have secrets that they do not want to tell others. It is penned by Kang Full, who is also a webtoon writer. The drama will be directed by Mo Wan Il, who also worked on the hit drama "The World of the Married."
The upcoming variety show is scheduled to air in early 2021. Further details about the program are yet to be announced. Stay tuned!
