Every first day of the year, celebrity dating news are revealed on popular media outlets, and for 2021, the "Crash Landing on You" stars Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin were the first couple to confirm their relationship.

Known as the RiRi couple for their onscreen characters' names Yoon Se Ri and Captain Ri, dubbed by fans who've been supporting them since their drama "Crash Landing on You," many were already convinced that the two stars have been dating since 2018. However, they had only confirmed it now. Today, we'll show you the proof that the both of them are really destined to be together.
Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin are both working in the industry for the same number of years. They were also born in the same year, and have worked together not just once but many times in different projects.
In 2011, Son Ye Jin made a special appearance in the last episode of Hyun Bin's hit drama "Secret Garden," but they did not personally meet on the set. Three years later, Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin attended the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan), where they were seen sitting next to each other and both received the year's Producers' Choice Awards.
The two also shared some moments on stage, and as they were walking together, there's just somthing about their chemistry that it gave viewers a hint on what's in store for them in the upcoming years. It also happened in the year 2020, after the release of their drama "Crash Landing on You" where both artists won the most popular actor and actress awards at the 2020 Baeksang Arts Awards.
Way back in 2017, Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin were also confirmed to star in the film "The Negotiation." It was their first work together. According to the interview of Son Ye Jin in one of the Korean online publications, she said "My first impression of Hyun Bin was he has really great skin and hair, and I thought he must be an actor that actresses are really into."
Meanwhile, Hyun Bin also shared in the same publication that he decided to work on the film because Son Ye Jin was part of the cast too. And since they do not have much romance in the film, fans were hoping to see them again in a romantic kind of project.
In September 2018, "The Negotiation" premiered and it received good feedback from the audience. The movie surpassed one million viewers, and this became a milestone for the couple during Korea's Chuseok celebrations.
In January 2019, an online post about the two stars surfaced showing that Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin had been travelling together in LA. A photo of them grocery shopping also circulated online. However, rumours were denied, saying that it was just coincidence for the two to be in the same place together.
The fans rejoiced after confirming in May 2019 that Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin will finally be working together in a drama "Crash Landing On You", which premiered worldwide in December 2019. The drama became a massive hit, and their onscreen chemistry gained so much love from the audience, wishing that they date in real life.
