SF9 Rowoon and Park Eun Bin to Possibly Star in New Historical Drama 'Yeonmo'
Another historical drama is set to air this 2021, and actress Park Eun Bin and SF9 member Rowoon are in talks to be part of the project.
On Jan 15, it has been reported that SF9's Rowoon will possibly play the male lead in KBS' upcoming drama "Yeonmo." After the news, the home agency of Rowoon, FNC Entertainment, released their official statement regarding their artist, "Our artist Rowoon received an offer to star in the historical drama 'Yeonmo,' and it is one of the projects that he is still reviewing. For now, he is focusing on filming for his new upcoming romantic drama 'She Will Never Know.'"
"Yeonmo" is based on a Korean comic book or manhwa, written by Lee So Young, and will be put into script by Han Hee Jeong. Director Song Hyun Wook will be helming the drama. Its story tells a forgotten king who does not exist in history. This king, who is in fact a woman, has lived her life hiding herself.
The upcoming drama will show the romance between the king and the handsome characters around her against the history of the not so safe and strict palace.
Park Eun Bin is also in talks to be part of the drama as the female king Lee Hwi. SF9 member Rowoon has been offered the optimistic and bright character of Jung Ji Woon, who is also Lee Hwi's first love.
Further details and confirmation about the upcoming drama are still kept under wraps.
Meanwhile, Rowoon will be conquering the K-drama world with his new, romantic-comedy drama "She Would Never Know" (also called "Sunbae, Don't Put on That Lipstick"). He will be playing the character of a junior marketer named Chae Hyun Seung who will develop special feelings towards his senior Yoon Song Ah (played by Won Jin Ah). The pilot episode of the drama will premiere on Jan. 18, at 9:00 p.m. (KST) and is expected to give a lot of heart-fluttering moments between the leads.
