MOMOLAND Hyebin Confirmed to Debut as Stage Actress
MOMOLAND's leader Hyebin to conquer the stage not as an idol but as a stage actress!
As a member of the K-Pop girl group MOMOLAND, Hyebin spent most of her days working in the K-Pop industry for years and has been doing a lot of training just to make sure that every group is synchronized and prepared for their stage performances.
But now, as everyone welcomes another year, new hope and opportunities have been the major key points in moving forward. Just like Hyebin, she is about to walk in a new journey where she finds herself at her best.
According to the report on Jan. 19, MOMOLAND's leader Hyebin is about to act on stage for the first time. The 25-year-old idol will conquer the stage differently.
Before, she used to share the stage with her bandmates to show their amazing skills in dancing and singing in front of the crowd. But now, Hyebin is set to dominate the stage on her own and as an actress. In fact, she has been casted for the upcoming stage play "Kwanbu Contact Line," expected to be released in the first half of 2021.
The story of "Kwanbu Contact Line'' will start from an imagination that a person named Yun Shim Deok is alive with the background of the Tokujumaru Kwanbu Line from Japan to Busan. During the time when people are deeply asleep, Hong Seok Joo, who is also in the same place where Yun Shim Deok is, is secretly looking for her by hiding himself in a boat.
He will develop special feelings towards Yun Shim Deok and soon to grow until they end up being in a relationship. "Kwanbu Contact Line" is a story of two people living differently, and eventually found each other to share genuine moments, build friendship, and show their biggest dreams that they wish to achieve in their lives.
Hong Seok Joo's character will be played by Kim Ryeo Won, who is known for his excellent and stable acting. He is also good in character interpretation, some of his previous plays are "Hope," "Rarity," "Lizzy," and "Mist."
Meanwhile, actor Hwang Seung Eon will also be part of the cast. He has built a strong and solid film style of going back and forth between various genres such as the stage plays "Bad Guy," "When I was the Most Beautiful," and he made it to the big screen with movies "The King" and "Memantomori."
Hyebin will be playing the role of Yun Shim Deok, Korea's first soprano that committed to end her life together with her other half while on a ferry going to Japan. It is based on a true story that happened in the 90's. The story of Yum Shim Deok was one of the most shocking news stories in the history of Korea.
And now, to reminisce the history, MOMOLAND leader Hyebin will be taking part in letting the audience know what had really happened to Yun Shim Deok's life journey.
