Talented actors Lee Jae Wook and Park Gyu Young are in discussions to star as main leads in a brand new KBS drama!

On Jan. 25, reports circulated that the two actors were chosen to star in the upcoming drama "Dal Li and Gamja-tang." And in response to the news, VAST Entertainment, Lee Jae Wook's agency, immediately responded that this is one of the projects that the actor was offered to star. 

Park Gyu Young's agency, Saram Entertainment, on the other hand, issued their statement that the actress indeed received a casting offer for the drama and she is currently reviewing it.

"Dal Li and Gamja-tang" will tell the unexpected love story of two characters Jin Mu Hak and Park Gyu Young that will take place in an art museum.

Lee Jae Wook was offered to star as the character of Jin Mu Hak. His family business started as a small gamja-tang (spicy pork backbone stew) restaurant and grew into a global food corporation DonDon F&B. He is the director of their company but he always was in the last place in his class when he was at school. He was always considered unintelligent.

Meanwhile, Park Gyu Young is in talks to star as Kim Dal Li, a smart , young lady. She is the visiting researcher at Kröller-Müller Museum, and then becomes the director of Chungsong Art Museum. Her character is a sophisticated girl whose speech and actions are always classy. She is very considerate to everything and she enjoys studying diverse fields, such as art, philosophy, and religion. Plus, she speaks seven languages!

The romantic drama will be penned by Son Eun Hye, who also created "Witch's Love," and will be helmed by Director Lee Jung Sub.

South Korean actor Lee Jae Wook was born May 10, 1998. The 20-year-old actor started his career in the entertainment industry in 2018 through the hit television series "Memories of the Alhambra."

This was followed by a supporting role in "Search: WWW" (2019), which made his name known in the industry and he instantly received numerous project offers namely the movie "The Battle of Jangsari" (2019) and in the K-dramas "Extraordinary You" and "When The Weather Is Fine" (2020).

 His latest drama was released in October 2020 where he starred alongside Go Ara in "Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol," which became his first-ever leading role in Korean drama.

Park Gyu Young was scouted by JYP Entertainment in 2015 and started her career as an actress in Jo Kwon's music video "Crosswalk" in 2016.

Following her debut, the actress starred as a supporting actress in television dramas "Solomon's Perjury," "Rain or Shine," and "The Third Charm." She also appeared in the web dramas "Magic School" and "Miss Independent Jieun."

In 2018, Park Gyu Young made her film debut with "Wretches," and also starred in "Love+Sling."

Fast forward to the year 2020, the actress landed her first-ever leading role in tvN's hit drama "It's Okay to Not Be Okay," where she starred alongside Kim Soo Hyun, Seo Ye Ji, and Oh Jung Se. Park Gyu Young also appeared in Netflix's hit thriller series "Sweet Home."
