Honey Lee to Possibly Star in Brand New SBS Drama 'One The Woman'
Honey Lee is currently in talks to portray a character of a prosecutor in an upcoming SBS drama!
A Korean Media outlet reported on Jan. 29 that the actress was offered to star as the female lead in the new SBS drama titled "One the Woman." The role was previously offered to actress Kim Ah Joong. Unfortunately, she declined the said offer.
With regards to the news circulating, Hone Lee's agency Saram Entertainment released their response and confirmed the reports commenting that Honey Lee was indeed offered to star in 'One the Woman' and currently she is reviewing the offer.
"One The Woman" will center its story on the tough and rascal female prosecutor who one day experiences memory loss and switched places to a conservative housewife who apparently has the same face as her.
Honey Lee to Possibly Play the Role of a Prosecutor Who Wakes Up as Someone Else
If Honey Lee chooses to accept the role, she will star as the main lead, Jo Yeon Joo, a prosecutor and the only daughter of a man involved in a gangster group. During her chase of a suspect who looks exactly like her, she, unfortunately, got involved in a car accident. Her life suddenly shifted when she wakes up from a coma with her life is switched with a woman who is the youngest daughter of a chaebol in the top 20 of the financial world.
The woman she swapped her life with is also the daughter-in-law of BK Group, one of the leading groups in Korea where she was forced into a marriage that she didn't want.
Another character in the drama is Han Seung Wook, a chaebol who still has feelings for his first love. He left Korea because of the hardships he encountered because of a fight for the inheritance. He then comes back to uncover the truth behind his father's dishonorable death.
In his journey of uncovering the truth, he was able to meet his first love once again and tries his best not to lose the things he has been given anymore.
In case you didn't know, Honey Lee previously portrayed the character of a prosecutor in the famous SBS drama "The Fiery Priest."
Honey Lee's Previous Works
Korean actress, model, classical musician, and beauty pageant titleholder Lee Hanee was born on March 2, 1983. She is famously known as her screen name Honey Lee. She was the South Korea representative for the Universe 2007 pageant and took home the 3rd runner-up award.
Aside from being a pageant titleholder, Honey Lee acted in several films and television series. One of her recent projects was the film Extreme Job (2019) where she starred as a narcotics detective.
"One the Woman" is scheduled to broadcast in the second half of this year! We do hope Honey Lee accepts this offer since we are excited to see her act on the small screen once again!
