So Ji Sub Declined Netflix's Offer Due to His Busy Schedule
According to a report on March 15, So Ji Sub recently received the script for "Exemplary Family," and his appearance and character were also being discussed carefully, however after further consultation, the 44-year-old had decided not to accept the offer.
So Ji Sub is supposed to play the second lead character named Ma Kwang Cheol, but due to his conflict of schedules and other circumstances, the actor will no longer be part of the new upcoming series. Meanwhile, actors Jung Woo and Yoon Jin Seo were also offered to be the main cast of the drama project. However, they are still reviewing the script.
"Exemplary Family" will center in the story of an ordinary family who is on the border of bankruptcy and also gets dragged in a bloody drug syndicate. Director Kim Jin Woo, who helmed "If You Like It 2," will be directing the series. Further details about the final casting for this new action-thriller series are yet to be announced.
Last February 24, when the good news came out that "Oh My Venus" actor So Ji Sub has been cast to be part of the Netflix series. His agency 51K Official gladly announced to the public that their artist was reviewing the script. Fans were already excited for So Ji Sub's comeback on the small screen.

"Exemplary Family" was supposed to be his drama comeback after his 2018 drama "My Secret, Terrius" alongside actress Jung In Sun.

But now that the artist did not accept the drama project, fans should not worry too much because it has also been reported that So Ji Sub just finished filming his forthcoming thriller film "Alien." Joining him in the movie is "Uncontrollably Fond" star Kim Woo Bin, "Reply 1988" Ryu Joon Yeol, "Space Sweepers" Kim Tae Ri, Yum Jung Ah, Lee Ha Nee, Jo Woo Jin, Kim Eui Sung, and "Itaewon Class" actor Yoo Jae Myung.
These big names were already gaining attention from the audience, for they will be making another blockbuster film for this year (2021). So Ji Sub's fans are still hoping that he will be returning again with a new drama project this year.
