‘Navillera’ Episode 11: Park In Hwan’s Alzheimer’s Gets Worse ahead of His Performance

The Strength of Sim Deok Chul and Choi Hae Nam's Marriage
"Navillera" episode 11 showed the strength of Sim Deok Chul (Park In Hwan) and Choi Hae Nam (Na Moon Hee) marriage despite the hurdles in life.
It starts with the 70-year-old returning to their home together with his two sons, where the matriarch patiently waits for them.
Now that his illness is out in the open, Deok Chul apologized to his wife for causing a fuss because of his Alzheimer's disease.
However, Choi Hae Nam explained that she understood the situation and promised to support him no matter what he does.

Lee Chae Rok's Promise to Sim Deok Chul
Despite his health condition, Mr. Sim continued his ballet and is eager to pass the audition.
When he returned to the studio, he had a heart-to-heart talk with Lee Chae Rok (Song Kang.) There, the 23-year-old ballerino asks Sim Deok Chul to promise that he will update him and text him when he gets home.
Moreover, an emotional scene between the two transpired after Lee Chae Rok assured Mr. Sim that he would never forget him even if he doesn't recognize him anymore.
"Even if you don't remember me. I'll remember you," he told the 70-year-old.
Sim Deok Chul's Audition
"Navillera" episode 11 highlighted the significant chapter in Sim Deok Chul's life. This is the part where the 70-year-old had to prove that he has what it takes to perform on stage.
Unfortunately, right before the audition, Mr. Sim left the studio to go after his eldest son, Sim Seong San (Jung Hae Kyun), who is experiencing problems at work due to his department's financial setback.
Luckily, right before his audition, Sim Deok Chul showed up and wowed the judges with his stunning ballet routine.
With this, the jury chooses the 70-year-old to be a part of their upcoming gala.
The next day, Chae Rok coach and studio owner, Ki Seung-Joo (Kim Tae Hoon) ask the duo if they'd like to perform together. Initially, Mr. Sim was hesitant to perform alongside Chae Rok as he thought that it would hinder his training, but he insisted and said that he wants to perform with him on his big day.
A Mishap Before the Big Day

As he makes it to their home, he feels uneasy and starts to forget things.
A police mobile passed by and asked if he's okay and where he lives.
Fortunately, his wife heard the commotion and guided his husband inside.

On the morning of his gala performance, the 70-year-old woke up not recognizing his wife.
He asked Choi Hae Nam, "who are you?" which broke her heart, realizing that his illness has worsened.
