"Law School" episode 5, starring Kim Myung Min and Kim Bum, left viewers in complete surprise after a new suspect came to light.

Despite the unexpected twist and turns, the JTBC K-Drama showed a slight decrease in rating compared to their previous episode.

"Law School" Ratings Showed a Slight Downturn on Episode 5

As cited by Nielsen Korea, "Law School" viewership rating garnered a nationwide rating of 4.5 percent and 4.8 percent in the metropolitan area.

This is a downturn from episode 4 that scored a nationwide rating of 4.3 percent 4.9 percent in the metropolitan area.

Kang Sol B's Plagiarism Case

In episode 5, all eyes are on Kang Sol B (Lee Soo Kyung) after being accused of plagiarizing professor Seo Byeong Joo (Ahn Nae Sang) work.

At his office, Vice Dean Jang Joo Man (Oh Man Seok) checks Kang Sol B's laptop. He then sees a notification from the Korea Copyright Commission regarding her case about the plagiarized dissertation.

Surprisingly, a message from Professor Yang Jong Hoon (Kim Myung Min) appeared, asking for his laptop, which went missing during the day of the murder.

It contains his views on Kang Sol B's plagiarism case and wonders if she took it.

Meanwhile, in Hankuk University, the student believes that the person who took Professor Yang's laptop might be the suspect.

Kang Sol B's Mother Confronted Professor Yang Jong Hoon

After getting a low score in their exam, Kang Sol B's mother criticized her for her grades and insisted on moving out of the dorm and live with her.

The next day, her mother visited the university and spoke to professor Yang about her score. She pointed out that she's not pleased with the fact that a school faculty who has a murder charge is teaching her daughter.

In addition, she also claims that Kang Sol B is innocent. The mother explained it was her daughter who helped the late professor with his paper, given that she has a high score in English.

"Law School" episode 5 also showed a flashback of the vice dean and Kang Sol B at the scene of Professor Seo's death. The two saw a sugar packet but never declared it to the police.

With this, she believes that Jang Joo Man wants to frame Professor Yang and make him the suspect.

Jang Joo Man's Confession

At the university, Professor Yang surprisingly found his laptop at the vice dean's office.

There, Jang Joo Man recalled what happened the day of Professor Seo's death.

The two spoke about Kang Sol B's plagiarism case and wanted to ask the late professor to help her and let the issue slide. Still, the professor insisted on continuing with the complaint and told the vice dean that her daughter "does not qualify to become a judicial officer" in the future.

This left him furious, and puts a whole pack of methamphetamine in his coffee.

In the present, he confessed to Professor Yang that he killed Professor Seo.

"Finally, you found me," he said.
