'Hospital Playlist' Season 2 Poster Showcases Nostalgic Season 1 Scenes

"Hospital Playlist" fans rejoice - the highly-awaited season 2 now has a poster. The poster says nothing of what the second season will look like, though, because it is essentially a collage of season 1 scenes.

Not that this is a bad thing. All the photos included in the poster are some of the most notable scenes of "Hospital Playlist" Season 1, and an avid fan would certainly have fun reminiscing about each.

"Hospital Playlist" 2 Update: New Poster Drops

The photos can make fans feel nostalgic and even more excited about the release of "Hospital Playlist" Season 2. This is exactly the plan of the team behind the said poster.

The medical drama series, which was released right in the thick of the COVID-19 pandemic, tells the stories of five doctors who have been best friends for 20 years and showcases their everyday life at the hospital.

Since the hospital is one of the busiest places there is in a country, the series certainly had a lot of stories to tell, although the majority revolves around the five main characters.

Jo Jung Suk, Jung Kyung Ho, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Dae Myung are the main cast of "Hospital Playlist." While most of them already have solid acting projects in their portfolio before this show, this series, which was shown on Netflix, transformed them into household names, not just in Korea but around the world.

The poster captures different memories of the "99'ers," which referenced the year the five main characters all graduated from medical school. Essentially, all the group posters ever released from season 1 were made into a collage poster for "Hospital Playlist" Season 2. The caption of the poster reads, "A new season, our special day-to-day lives begin."

One of the producers of "Hospital Playlist" also claimed that the poster is meant "to signal the start of season two."

The producer said they intentionally combined all the memories from season one like a scrapbook. "Please look forward to the special yet average day-to-day lives of the five friends that we'll showcase through season two," he said.

"Hospital Playlist" Season 2 Script Reading and Release Date

It can be remembered that "Hospital Playlist" 2 released a behind-the-scenes script reading video last April 15, driving fans into a frenzy as they watched the stars reunite after the first season.

Ahead of the script reading, the director made some comments on what fans should expect on the second season. According to him, "Hospital Playlist" Season 2 will just continue what the first season has been doing, which was to tell the everyday stories that transpire in a hospital setting. Only this time, they plan to make the scenes even more heartwarming and meaningful.

When the actors started to read the script, fans were astounded to see how they quickly shifted from being ordinary celebrities catching up to the actual characters they play on the show. The drama's production added that as long as the fans tune in, they can expect a great drama.

"Hospital Playlist" Season 2 is still over a month away. Specifically, it premieres on June 17 at 9 p.m. KST.
