With a few more episodes left, the JTBC drama proved that it gained a favorable response from the public with their increasing rating every episode.

According to Nielsen Korea, "Law School" viewership rating broke its own highest rating for two consecutive weeks after garnering 5.5 percent nationwide and 5.6 percent in the metropolitan area.

"Law School" Episode 9 Recap: Jeon Ye Seul Caught Up in a Bad Situation

The mystery crime drama is slowly unfolding the secrets behind every character.

"Law School" episode 9 now focuses not just on Kim Myung Min's role as the feisty prosecutor turned criminal law professor but gravitated towards Jeon Ye Seul, played by Ko Yoon Jung, and her complicated relationship.

The latest episode starts with Ye Seul and her boyfriend Ko Young Chang (Lee Hwi Jong) having an intense argument in the parking lot.

There, the pretty law student tried to stop Go Young Chang from spreading his explicit video. Unfortunately, she accidentally pushed him to the curb, which left him unconscious.

She called her best friend, Kang Sol A (Ryu Hye Young), but Professor Yang Jong Hoon (Kim Myung Min) grabbed her phone and called the hospital instead.

Assemblyman Ko Hyeong Soo (Jung Won Joong), who is the father of Ye Seul's boyfriend, was furious over his only son's devastating situation.

Shortly after the politician arrived, police came in and wanted to take Ye Seul to the station to question her. However, Han Joon Hwi (Kim Bum) intervened and said that she is not in a good state to be questioned.

Professor Yang also backed this as he tried to stop the arrest by telling Assemblyman Ko that there will be a lot of damage on his side if she goes to the station.

Ko Young Chang's Surgery

Fortunately, Ko Young Chang's surgery went well, but it will take him a little time to recover.

As for Ye Seul, she has to undergo legal proceedings after Assemblyman Ko is eager to put this in the court.

Professor Yang's Fourth Trial

The trial continues for Professor yang and his involvement with the death of professor Seo Byeong Joo (Ahn Nae Sang.)

Since Ye Seul backed as a witness, they cannot use her statement to pin the case to Yang Jong Hoon.

"Law School" episode 9 delves into Professor Seo's health illness, and his blood sugar level emerged as a new issue.

Prosecutor Jin Hyeong Woo (Park Hyuk Kwon) proved his argument by submitting Professor Seo's blood sugar tester as evidence.

His aim is to counterattack Professor Yang's claim that he did not put a sugar packet on his coffee and highlighted that Professor Seo was high on that day.

Self-Defense

In Kim Eun Sook's (Lee Jung Eun) office, the group, including Han Joo Hwi and Kang Sol A, gathered to figure out how they can help in Jeon Ye Seul's case.

Since there is still no lawyer who wants to accept the case, the group assesses how they can state Ye Seul's innocence.

Kang Soll A and Han Joo Hwi pointed out self-defense. Although professor Kim warned the group that the court has strict restrictions regarding self-defense as grounds, they still insist on raising this point.

A Big Surprise from Professor Yang

Jeon Ye Seul's first trial began and was attended by her whole study group alongside Professor Kim.

The law students were surprised upon seeing Assemblyman Ko's powerhouse lawyers.

In the courtroom, the students, including Ye Seul, were anxious that her attorney had not shown up.

"Law School" episode 9 featured a big surprise as professor Yang entered the court and presented himself as Ye Seul's lawyer and requested a jury trial.
