IU Received Love from Fans, Close Friends on Her Birthday
One of South Korea's national treasures turned another year older but stays young at heart. IU is indeed one of the outstanding artists who continues to soar high with her talents.
But even with all the achievements she received, the "Hotel Del Luna" star stays humble, making her fans - Uaenas - love her even more.
On her special day, IU shared on her Instagram Story a photo showing sumptuous meals prepared by two of her showbiz friends, "Times" star Lee Joo Young and IU's co-star Bae Doona in the upcoming movie "Broker."

In South Korea, it's a norm for the birthday celebrant to eat seaweed soup to thank and remember his or her mother's love. This tradition is also evident in many Korean dramas.
The "My Mister" actress' birthday was also celebrated by her fans from all over the world. Various birthday projects were launched and organized to commemorate her special day.

IU Donates 500 Million KRW to Those in Need in Celebration of Her Birthday
The 28th-year-old luminary is not just known for being multitalented. She is also prominent for her generosity.
According to IU's agency EDAM Entertainment, the singer-actress donated a total of 500 million KRW to the Korean Pediatric Cancer Foundation in Yeoldol, which supports children with various diseases.
She also made donations to The Children's Welfare Association, Korean Unwed Mothers' Families Association, Center for the Total Care to Elderly Living Alone, and The Purme Foundation.
EDAM also greeted their beloved artist on their official Instagram page and the phenomenal star also left a sweet comment on the said greeting post.
Lee Ji Eun's label revealed that she wanted to do something for others because she had received lots of love throughout her 20's.
IU never fails to give back all the love that she receives from fans and loved ones.
This is not the first time that she made a thoughtful gesture to those people in need. The "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" star is indeed a beautiful angel inside and out.
