‘Dr. Romantic 2’ Star Ahn Hyo Seop Confirmed to Lead the Upcoming Drama ‘The Office Blind Date’
Ahn Hyo Seop is confirmed to appear in a new drama, "The Office Blind Date."
Fans will get to see more of the "Dr. Romantic" actor after he was casted as the male lead star for the upcoming rom-com series.
It came after his agency, Star House Entertainment, announced that the 26-year-old heartthrob is set to play the role of Kang Tae Mu in the webtoon-adapted drama.
"Ahn Hyo Seop has been confirmed to appear as Kang Tae Mu, a third-generation chaebol who is perfect for SBS' new drama "The Office Blind Date."
"The Office Blind Date" Cast and Synopsis
Aside from the "Abyss" star, Kim Sejeong is in talks to appear as the female lead star.
Earlier in May, her agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, shared that the singer-actress has been courted for the main role.
"Kim Sejeong has received an offer to star in 'Office Blind Date' and is reviewing it," the management revealed.
If the 24-year-old celebrity agrees, she will portray the role of Shin Ha Ri, a regular employee who goes on a surprising blind date in place of her officemate.
Little did she know that she is about to meet their company's CEO Kang Tae Mu.
The webtoon based drama written by Hae Hwa is helmed by "Suspicious Partner" and "My Strange Hero" director Park Seon Ho
Moreover, "The Office Blind Date" is a rom-com that follows the story of a budding relationship between an office employee and a third-generation chaebol who is running a big company.

"The Office Blind Date" Release
Apart from the lead star's confirmation, the upcoming SBS drama is set to start production in the second half of 202.
This will be produced by Cross Pictures, whose famous works include the 2017 drama "The Sound Of Your Heart."
As for its release, "The Office Blind Date" aims to debut in the first half of 2022.

The South Korean heartthrob made his acting debut in the 2015 MBC drama "Splash Splash Love."
It was then followed by a supporting role in One More Happy Ending," "Happy Home," and "Entertainer."
With his impressive acting skills, he landed his first-ever lead role in "My Father is Strange," where he played Ahn Joong Hee and worked alongside the powerhouse cast.
This includes veteran stars Kim Yeong Cheol, Kim Hae Sook, as well as Lee Yoo Ri, Ryu Soo Young, and Jung So Min.
With years in the industry, Ahn Hyo Seop managed to score several remarkable dramas, including "Queen of the Ring," "Thirty But Seventeen," "Top Management," and "Abyss."
Aside from this, he also starred in the hit medical drama "Dr. Romantic 2" with Lee Sung Kyung and Han Seok Kyu. He played the role of skilled young surgeon Seo Woo Jin.
Meanwhile, as fans wait for the premiere of "The Office Blind Date," Ahn Hyo Seop is set to appear in a soon-to-be-released drama "Red Sky," which is slated to debut on August 9 in SBS.
