Netflix's "Kingdom: Ashin of the North" continues to drop thrilling sneak peeks starring lead star Jun Ji Hyun.

The much-awaited K-zombie series unveiled a second teaser video alongside the official poster featuring the Hallyu star as she transforms into a mysterious warrior.

In the new still cuts over Netflix Korea's official Instagram, "Kingdom: Ashin of the North" finally unraveled the face of the 39-year-old actress who dons a driven expression as she holds a bow and arrow.

Interestingly, a group of warriors was also seen in her background as the flame engulfed the area.

"Death begins to devour Joseon," the caption reads.

This piques the viewer's interest in how Ashin unfolds the origin of the mysterious purple flower, known as the resurrection plant.

"Kingdom: Ashin of the North" Teaser Video Features the Identity of Jun Ji Hyun's Character

Apart from the official poster, the streaming giant released the second teaser video featuring the young Ashin.

The one-minute and 42-second clip began with a group of men being attacked by an unidentified creature in the middle of the woods.

The next scene shows the young Ashin, played by Kim Shi Ah, who confessed to seeing a strange plant.

"It said to bring back the dead," she told her father, followed by an eerie clip of the lion's eye.

Ashin's conversation with her father continues and points out that she wanted to save her mom using the resurrection plant.

Her father forbade her saying, "That's why you shouldn't go there," to which she replied, "Then what should we do? Just let mom die like that?"

In the latter part of the video teaser, Ashin grew up and transformed as Jun Ji Hyun.

"Kingdom: Ashin of the North" sneak peek also showed how her town was overrun by fearsome zombie creatures and killing a group of soldiers.

Ashin, on the other hand, managed to escape and witnessed the whole village turned into a nightmare, alongside words saying "Vengeance never dies."

What You Need to Know about "Kingdom: Ashin of the North"

"Kingdom: Ashin of the North" is the extension of the smash hit K-zombie series "Kingdom" following its two chart-topping seasons.

The upcoming spinoff is still helmed by Kim Sung Hoon, who directed the first two seasons of "Kingdom," together with screenwriter Kim Eun Hee.

Exactly one month from now, fans would get to witness the spine-chilling episode of how the chaos started and the origin of the mysterious resurrection plant.

Aside from Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Shi Ah, the "Kingdom: Ashin of the North" cast members also include Park Byung Eun, who will reprise his character as Royal Commandery Min Chi Rok together with Koo Kyo Hwan.

The forthcoming sequel is slated to debut on July 23 exclusively on Netflix.
