'The Devil Judge’ Premieres at No. 1 on Weekend Drama Ratings + Episode 1 Recap
tvN's new legal drama "The Devil Judge" finally kicked off and successfully remained at the top spot during its first episode.
On July 3, the star-studded and much-awaited drama "The Devil Judge" made an explosive start by topping at the no.1 spot during the weekend primetime. According to Nielsen Korea, "The Devil Judge" Episode 1 scored an average rating of 5.6 percent nationwide and 6.0 percent in the Metropolitan area.

'The Devil Judge' Episode 1: Kim Ga On and Kang Yo Han's Intense Encounter
Kang Yo Han (Ji Sung) was first introduced as one of the powerful legal judges. He was recognized by various officials during the special event where politicians and high-ranking professionals were present.
Meanwhile, Kim Ga On (Jinyoung) had his first day at the court and finally met the competitive judge Kang Yo Han. He also met his new officemate Oh Jin Joo (Kim Jae Kyung), who is bubbly and friendly, opposite Kim Ga On's personality.
Kim Ga On and Kang Yo Han had their first live court show, involving the toxic wastewater of the JU Chemical Plant, which took the lives of the children and some of the elders living in the rural villages. It was established as a 'national pilot trial' where the entire nation participated as a jury.
As they proceed with the first public trial, Kim Ga On and Min Jung Ho (Ahn Nae Sang) joined forces and began questioning the opponent on why they chose the case that caused the public outrage.

Kim Ga On Becomes Observant of His Colleagues
Due to this, Kim Ga On began to secretly investigate the inside story of the case being discussed in court. The more facts being stated during the live court show, the more Kim Ga On gets suspicious of Cha Kyung Hee's (Jang Young Nam) behavior, who was silently observing the jury.
Kim Ga On continues to observe the people and events happening inside the supreme court. His college professor and now one of the chief justice officials in Min Jung Ho became Kim Ga On's only trusted person.
Min Jung Ho also tasked Kim Ga On to keep an eye on Kang Yo Han's for Min Jung Ho knew that there is something mysterious about Kang Yo Han's personality.
tvN's new weekend drama "The Devil Judge" already gave hype to the viewers during its pilot episode. This series is expected to gain more audiences in the upcoming weeks.
