For it's final episode, "Secrets" broke its own record earning ratings of 18.9 percent. That's an impressive jump of 1.5 percent from the previous episode.

"The Heirs" was also up in the ratings, jumping 0.4 percent to 15.9 percent while MBC's "Medical Top Team" slumped to an appallingly low 3.9 percent.

"Secrets" not only aced the ratings. The final episode revealed all the plot's tantalizing secrets. And it also delivered a satisfying ending, with happiness for the characters you cared about and justice for those who did wrong.

Bae Soo Bin, who arguably had the toughest role in the whole drama, said that he was thankful for the show's success. His role as the prosecutor who slowly and subtly sacrifices his beliefs for his shallow ambitions helped ensure that success.

Lee Da Hee, who played Ji Sung's cool, cruel fiancée shared his sentiments.

"Although "Secrets" has come to an end, I think it will remain in my heart forever," she said.

The show did not start out with high ratings but the cast was not concerned.

"Even when the first viewer ratings came in at 5 percent, I had a good feeling that we would do well," said Hwang Jung Eum.

Here's how it ended. Spoiler alert: Justice was achieved in the last episode when Bae Soo Bin's character attorney Ahn Do Hoon finally owned up to the crimes he committed and lifted the curse that seemed to afflict Hwang Jung Eum's life. This left her free to follow her dream of reopening the bakery and cleared the way for her to form a meaningful relationship with Ji Sung. Poor Hwang Jung Eum suffered so greatly for the sake of love that viewers were relieved when she finally got to have a relationship with someone who will stand up for her.

Meanwhile, "The Heirs" explored its most interesting plot development, the redemption of Choi Young Do, played by Kim Woo Bin. He lowers his tough guy guard a little further every time he talks to Cha Eun Sang. Also, viewers are starting to get glimpses of what separated the two childhood friends, Young Do and Kim Tan, played by Lee Min Ho.

Now that "Secrets" has ended, will "The Heirs" take first place? On Nov. 20 "Secrets" will be followed by "Pretty Man," also called "Pretty Boy" and "Bel Ami." The comedy, which stars IU, Jang Geun Suk, Lee Jang Woo and Han Chae Young, is sure to provide its fair share of competition.
