tvN's upcoming drama "The Road" (also known as "The Tragedy of One") released a new spine-thrilling preview of the drama's first episode.

The upcoming K-drama "The Road" starring "Move To Heaven" actor Ji Jin Hee, "SKY Castle" actress Yoon Se Ah, and "Itaewon Class" actress Kim Hye Eun is a new mystery thriller drama that tells the stories of the top one percent Koreans who have the most wicked desires and darkest secrets.

In the drama, Ji Jin Hee will take on the role of BSN new anchor Baek Soo Hyun, a trusted news announcer who will do anything to get what he desires. Yoon Se Ah will play the role of Seo Eun Soo, Baek Soo Hyun's (Ji Jin Hee) loving wife and the daughter of one of South Korea's biggest conglomerates, Seo Gi Tae who is played by "Love in the Moonlight" actor Chun Ho Jin.

In the newly released video teaser, Seo Gi Tae (Chun Ho Jin) addresses the crowd of Royal the Hill, an exclusive luxurious place where only the top one percent of Korea can live. He shares as he emphasizes the influence and wealth of Royal the Hill's residents that once the gates of Royal the Hill explodes, the nation's clock will stop.

During a meeting in the newsroom, Baek Soo Hyun (Ji Jin Hee) discloses that someone sent them a bomb two weeks ago. The group faces a dilemma, once they report the bomb threat, dozens of people will die.

The next scene shows Kim Seok Pil, played by "Dating Agency: Cyrano" actor Lee Jong Hyuk, threatening Baek Soo Hyun (Ji Jin Hee) that if the news anchor stabs him in the back, his son will disappear like a bubble.

On the other hand, co-worker Cha Seo Yeong, played by "Radio Romance" actress Kim Hye Eun, provokes Baek Soo Hyun (Ji Jin Hee) by saying that she enjoyed his report but he might get fired in the long run.

As the news anchor tries to salvage his family to safety, he runs somewhere at night in a frenzy while trying to communicate with somebody on the phone.

Meanwhile, his wife Seo Eun Soo (Yoon Se Ah) cries her heart out as she admits she never wants to lose anything in her life again.

The preview teaser ends as someone discloses that Yeon Woo, played by child actor Kim Min Jun, Baek Soo Hyun (Ji Jin Hee) and Seo Eun Soo's (Yoon Se Ah) son has been abducted.

The sinister preview of tvN's new drama "The Road" left the fans and avid drama viewers in awe. Viewers' curiosity increases as to how Ji Jin Hee untangles the series of secrets that lie beneath them while trying to rescue his family and most especially, his beloved son.

"Suspicious Family" actor Kim Sung Soo, "Awaken" actor Baek Ji Won, "Racket Boys" actor Ahn Nae Sang, and "Kingdom: Ashin of the North" actor Kim Roi Ha will also take part in the new drama series.

The new drama series "The Road" is based on Rintaro Norizuki's work. It is helmed by filmmaker Kim No Won and penned by screenwriter Yoon Hee Jung.

The drama will consist of 12 episodes with 70 minutes running time, every Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 p.m. KST.

"The Road" is scheduled to premiere on August 4 at 10:30 p.m. KST on tvN.
