“Reply 1994” Keeps Breaking Records Plus Dohee Fulfills Her Promise To Fans

"Reply 1994" keeps proving that it has overcome the 'second season' curse by breaking its own ratings record and even the records of its predecessor "Reply 1997".

Ratings for the drama have been steadily increasing since the premiere, and for its tenth episode, it reached an average rating of 8.8%, peaking at 10.0%. It is an increase from the 8.1% average and 9.8% peak of the previous episode, and it surpassed the 7.5% average and 9.4% peak rating of the "Reply 1997" finale episode.

At the same time, it also ranked first for ratings of women and men viewers from teens to their fifties, even ranking an impressive 13.2% for women in their thirties.

Previously, the cast members have made promises to their fans that they would fulfill after reaching a certain rating. Dohee, who portrays the role of Yoon Jin, promised to give out free hugs if they reach 7%, and she fulfilled her promise by holding a hug event in Myungdong.

Meanwhile, tvN reports a sad news for all the "Reply 1994" fans as they preempt the airing for the Friday episode to give way to the 2013 MNet Asian Music Awards. The November 22 episode will be shown on November 23, which means there might only be one episode to air for that week.
