‘Police University’ Episode 7: Cha Tae Hyun Decides To Work On The Investigation Alone, Jinyoung Sets The Record Straight With Krystal
"Police University" episode seven sets the viewers on a rollercoaster of emotions.
In the latest episode, Yoo Dong Man (Cha Tae Hyun) decides to exclude Kang Seon Ho (Jinyoung) in the on-going investigation to catch the illegal online gamblers who are lurking around the university.
Previously, Kang Seon Ho backed out from the relay game in the annual sportsfest to catch the culprit who tried to break into his laptop.
Interestingly, in episode seven, Yoo Dong Man has an epiphany which gives him a clearer view on things.
Yoo Dong Man Excludes Kang Seon Ho From The Investigation
As the story progresses, Yoo Dong Man and Kang Seon Ho's investigation slowly drives them to the truth.
Aside from the pub owner near the university, who turns out to be an ex-convict, Kang Seon Ho suspects Yoo Dong Man's subordinate, Park Chul Jin (Song Jin Woo).
In the previous episode, the attacked detective was assigned to teach in the university while he recovers from the selective amnesia and shock he suffered from that fateful night.
Yoo Dong Man, who is torn for the two closest and dearest people to him are at the different ends of the spectrum, decides to exclude Kang Seon Ho from the investigation.
Because of this, he leaves Kang Seon Ho wondering and hurt with his decision.
Kang Seon Ho Joins Oh Kang Hee in Watching Her Mother's Trial
Even though Kang Seon Ho and his team lost the sportsfest, the professor Seo Sang Hak (Kang Shin Il) lets all the students enjoy their weekend outside the university. With this, Kang Seon Ho had the liberty to join Oh Kang Hee (Krystal) to her mother's court trial.
In the courtroom, Kang Hee's mother, Oh Jung Ja (Kim Young Sun) admits to the things she did. However, she denies the false accusations that were pinned to her.
After the trial, Kang Hee sheds tears for her mother who received unjust punishments for the things she did not do.

According to Kang Hee, she knows her mother told the court the truth. Kang Hee disclosed that when her mother lies, she couldn't look Kang Hee in the eye. But during the trial, Oh Jung Ja's gaze did not falter away from Kang Hee.
During the trial, Kang Seon Ho's eyes were focused on the logo of the gambling site that Kang Hee's mother has been a part of. Though in shock, he figures out that it was the same gamling site that he hacked together with his brother.
It's also the same illegal gamblers that he and his professor were trying to pin down.
With this, Kang Seon Ho stayed by Oh Kang Hee's side as she cried in his arms.
Oh Kang Hee Stays The Night in Kang Seon Ho's Home
The two spent the rest of the day together. Unfortunately, their weekend vacation was cut short when the bus to Kang Hee's home ran out of tickets.
Kang Seon Ho, who's been a gentleman since forever, offers his home to Kang Hee.
The two then spend the night in Kang Seon Ho's house. His father Yoon Taek Il (Oh Man Seok) cooks for the two of them, even thinking that Kang Hee was his son, Seon Ho's girlfriend.
This leaves Kang Seon Ho and Oh Kang Hee thinking about their blurry yet budding romance.
Kang Seon Ho Sets The Record Straight With Oh Kang Hee
As the two return to school, Kang Seon Ho promises Oh Kang Hee that he will open her mother's case and catch the real culprit who runs the illegal online gambling site.
Because of his trust to Kang Hee, he discloses the on-going investigation inside the university between him and Yoo Dong Man.
He also promises her that once everything gets better, Seon Ho and Kang Hee will finally define and give meaning to their blossoming relationship.
Yoo Dong Man, Kwon Hyuk Pil, and Choi Hee Soo's Unexpected Friendship
In the previous episodes, there was obviously bad blood between professors Yoo Dong Man and Kwon Hyuk Pil.
But as the story progresses, Yoo Dong Man and Kwon Hyuk Pil learned how to coexist.
In the latest episode, Yoo Dong Man seeks refuge in the fishing place while drinking booze with his colleagues.
As he was torn between Seon Ho and Chul Jin, professor Kwon Hyuk Pil offers his friendship, "When you feel lonely, you can lean on your friends. Just come here."
This marks the two professors' beginning of a new friendship, despite previously starting off the wrong foot.
A Groundbreaking Bomb Stuns Yoo Dong Man
As he now works alone, he still opened his mind to possibilities. With his undying suspicion to the pub owner, and Seon Ho's vendetta against Chul Jin, professor Yoo Dong Man devised a plan to get the two suspects' fingerprints that will define who broke into Kang Seon Ho's laptop during the annual sportsfest.
With the help of professor Seo Sang Hak, the faceless intruder now has an identity.
