‘Squid Game’ Cast Sweeps Movie Actor Brand Reputation for October + Lee Jung Jae Ranks First
Squid Game cast dominates the brand reputation for the month of October.
According to Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, six actors from the Netflix series were included in the Movie Actor Brand Reputation rankings.
The monthly chart is based on the analysis of consumers and brands through interaction, community awareness, media coverage, and viewership from September 3 to October 3.
Lee Jung Jae Tops Movie Actor Brand Reputation Rankings
Based on the monthly rankings, the Netflix series lead star Lee Jung Hae ranked first place for the month of October.
To recall, the award-winning actor is creating a worldwide buzz due to his impressive portrayal as Seong Gi Hoon, causing a major "Squid Game" craze.
The actor accumulated an index of 10,286,654, which is a big jump from the July rankings of 1,657,431 brand reputation index.
According to the organization's official, the actor topped the monthly rankings because of his "transformation, friendly, and diverse" character seen in the K-series.
The second spot belonged to Jung Hae In, who recently starred in Netflix action-comedy Kdrama D.P.
Joining the top 10 actors is Wi Ha Joon in third place. He played the role of police officer Hwang Joon, who later infiltrated the organization to find his older brother.
Coming in at fourth is Lee Yoo Mi, who took on the role of player number 240 Ji Yeong. Despite having a short stint, she made a lasting impression, especially during her scene with Jung Ho Yeon.
Interestingly, capping off the top 10 are Gong Yoo and Lee Byung Hun, whose cameo wows the fans, as well as the "Squid Game" villain Heo Sung Tae.
The Goblin star portrayed the game agent assigned to distribute the calling cards and encourage their targets to join the competition in the drama.
Lee Byung Hun, on the other hand, happens to be the Front Man and Wi Ha Joon's older brother.

Lee Jung Jae and Park Hae Soo's 'Squid Game' Ranks First in 82 Countries
Squid Game is currently reigning in the entertainment industry worldwide after topping 82 out of 83 countries in Netflix.
It includes countries in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, the U.S, Germany, and more.
Amid the massive success, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarnados predicts that Squid Game might be their biggest show ever.
"The show is already attracting a far larger audience than the French-language crime drama Lupin, the first non-English-language show to become the top program on the site. When we see the progress of Squid Game, this show is bigger," he said as obtained by The Star.
