Gong Yoo, Bae Doona, Lee Joon and More Transform Into Space Elite Crews in Netflix’s ‘The Silent Sea’
Netflix drops the second teaser for the much-awaited team-up of Gong Yoo, Bae Doona, and Lee Joon in the upcoming Kdrama "The Silent Sea."
The highly anticipated sci-fi series focuses on space elite crews and their mission to recover mysterious artifacts from an abandoned lunar space station.

Gong Yoo, Bae Doona, and Lee Joon transform as crew members from a special space agency alongside Kim Sun Young and Lee Moo Saeng in the second teaser.
The group looks distraught while inside a spacecraft, trying to set out their mission and safely return to the earth.
Based on the caption, the team only had a 10 percent chance of survival as their spaceship heads to the moon.

'The Silent Sea' Cast, Release Date and More
The "Kingdom" actress took on the role of the space biologist Song Ji An, who is responsible for unraveling the secret behind an accident that killed her sister.
The said incident took place at the now-abandoned research station on the moon.
Meanwhile, the Hallyu actor suits up as he portrays space team leader Han Yoon Jae.
He focuses on retrieving samples from the research station and returning to earth safety despite the critical mission.
Joining his team is Lee Joon as the talented engineer Ryu Tae Seok.
Wrapping up the elite space group is the team doctor Hong Ga Young, played by "Crash Landing on You" actress Kim Su Young, while Lee Moo Saeng took on the role of security team leader Gong Su Hyeok and the spaceship pilot Kim Sun will be portrayed by Lee Seong Wook.
Interestingly, Gong Yoo will be reunited with his "Squid Game" co-star Heo Sung Tae who took on the role of the villain player no. 101 Jang Deok Soo.
However, in the upcoming Netflix series, he will play Kim Jae Seon, Korea Space Aviation Administration's resource team leader, as he works together with Bae Doona and Gong Yoo.
As Netflix gears up for the highly anticipated sci-fi series, the streaming giant previously announced the official release date of "The Silent Sea."
Gong Yoo and Bae Doona's Kdrama is scheduled to debut on December 24 exclusively on Netflix.
The eight-part episode is based on the movie "The Sea of Tranquility" directed by Choi Hang Yong, the PD for the upcoming series.
On the other hand, award-winning actor Jung Woo Sung will produce "The Silent Sea."
In an interview, he revealed what prompted him to produce the sci-fi series.
He said that he instantly fell in love with the plot when he first saw the movie seven years ago.
"I loved the idea, so I wanted to make a longer version, and I started to take on the challenge without fear. I've ended up producing it after coming together with this amazing cast," he said.
