Kang Ye Won Dishes Out Her Thoughts on ‘Only One Person,’ Working With Ahn Eun Jin and Red Velvet Joy and More
Following Ahn Eun Jin and Red Velvet Joy, JTBC's newest melodrama, "Only One Person," finally released Kang Ye Won's character stills.
The actress also shared her thoughts on her new role and drama, as well as her working experience with her fellow stars.
Kang Ye Won Reveals Honest Thoughts About Her Role and How She Prepared For It
JTBC's "Only One Person" follows the stories of three women who decide to take down "only one person" before they die, after being diagnosed with terminal illnesses.
The drama stars Ahn Eun Jin as a public bathhouse employee Pyo In Sook, and Red Velvet Joy as the beautiful social media influencer Sung Mi Do.
In the drama, Kang Ye Won transforms into Kang Se Yeon, an ordinary housewife who carries out her chores without complaints.
Kang Se Yeon was forced to get married because of the pressure she felt around her friends, who are all married, too. She quit her job to take care of her sick mother-in-law at home. However, things change after finding out that she doesn't have much time to live.
"I was attracted to the story of Kang Se Yeon, her ordinary and plain yet realistic battle after suddenly having only numbered days," the actress revealed, talking about her new acting role.
Kang Ye Won mindfully prepared herself to perfectly portray her character. To portray an ordinary housewife, she wears large black-rimmed eyeglasses and tacky daily clothes.

She commented, "I paid attention to the smallest details like how small Kang Se Yeon's voice is. I also shrank my posture to depict the tiredness my character feels."
"When she eventually speaks her own opinions and develops a sense of self-worth, I speak louder and stand straighter to portray the changes in Kang Se Yeon's life," Kang Ye Won continued, sounding so satisfied.
Kang Ye Won is ready to diversify her career spectrum and challenge herself with a new melodrama. She proved herself and her acting prowess in the films "Tidal Wave," "Ghost Sweepers," "Insane," and "The Bad Guys: Reign of Chaos."
Kang Ye Won On Working With Ahn Eun Jin and Red Velvet Joy
"Only One Person" marks the first project of Kang Ye Won, "Hospital Playlist" star Ahn Eun Jin and "Tempted" actress Red Velvet Joy.
Kang Ye Won shared her thoughts on working with Ahn Eun Jin and Joy, saying, "I met the two of them for the first time through this drama. They both have amazing personalities, and we were able to get closer from the first meeting."
The actress hinted at the upcoming chemistry of the three by saying, "We got close quickly, and we laughed a lot during filming. The atmosphere was always enjoyable."
