In the recently concluded melodrama, Kim Min Kyu portrayed the role of Seo Ji Han, the leader of the top idol group Mars.
He received acclaim and praises for his perfect synchronization with the character, and delivering natural and emotional acting.
Kim Min Kyu shared that he felt the pressure since "IDOL: The Coup" marks his debut drama, and he is working with many great actors. But according to him, it was a pleasurable experience.
The actor expressed his delight in participating in the melodrama, saying, "I'm happy to be able to tell an honest story with my skills as a rookie actor."

"I lived my life with a lot of worries and regrets. That's one of the similarities I share with Seo Ji Han," Kim Min Kyu admits.
Sadly, the actor also shared his regrets over the drama's conclusion. "I lived as Ji Han for a year, and over those times, I learned a lot of things that will certainly help me and my career."
He continued to thank his fellow stars EXID Hani, WJSN Exy, Redsquare Green, Han So Eun and Kwak Si Yang, as well as the staff who worked hard to produce the drama.

"I was lacking a lot, but it was a very unforgettable memory," Kim Min Kyu said with a smile, "I'll meet you in the future with a greater work."

After showing his acting prowess in the JTBC melodrama, which was preceded by webtoon original dramas "Comic Man and Woman."
On the other hand, rising star Kim Min Kyu is gearing up for his next big project, Netflix "The Fabulous."

It tells the story of young adults who devote their lives to the world of fashion and style. Kim Min Kyu will take on the role of a university student named Shim Do Young, a young aspiring model. The drama is slated to air in 2022.
