The upcoming holiday film "Happy New Year" teases fans and viewers as it introduces its interesting characters through a witty and colorful character chart.

On December 13, the much awaited star-studded film that will give warmth and comfort to the cold holiday season "Happy New Year" introduced its characters through a relationship chart that connects one another.

The film follows the stories of different people from different walks of life who visit Hotel Emrose, each bringing a story of their own, building new relationships and bonds.

It starts Han Ji Min, Lee Dong Wook, Kang Ha Neul, Girls' Generation's Yoona, Won Jin Ah, Seo Kang Joon, Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Young Kwang, Go Sung Hee, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Kyu Hyung, Jo Joon Young, Won Ji An, Lee Hye Young, and Jung Jin Young.

The newly released chart points out the relationship between the characters, starting from hotel manager So Jin (Han Ji Min) and her long-time friend Seung Hyo (Kim Young Kwang), whom he likes for more than 15 years.

On the other hand, Seung Hyo is engaged to the beautiful pianist Young Joo (Go Sung Hee). So In also gives her friendly advice to plastic surgeon Jin Ho (Lee Jin Wook), who comes to Hotel Emrose every weekend to meet with other people.

The chart also amplifies anticipation for the romance between the young and handsome hotel CEO Yong Jin (Lee Dong Wook) and housekeeper Lee Young (Won Jin Ah), a beautiful ambitious woman who dreams of becoming a musical actress.

On the other side of the chart, the relationship between overseas businesswoman Catherine (Lee Hye Young) and her first love Sang Yu (Jung Jin Young) and hotel doorman is highlighted.

Young love also blooms between problematic hotel guest Jae Young (Kang Ha Neul) and hotelier Soo Yeon (Girls' Generation YoonA).

Moreover, Sang Hoon (Lee Kwang Soo ), singer Lee Kang's (Seo Kang Joon) manager, plans to hold a year-end concert at Hotel Emrose.

Se Jik (Jo Joon Young), a swimmer and So Jin's younger brother, is secretly in love with Ah Young (Won Ji An), a popular figure skater.

Not only did it highlight the relationships between the characters, who don't know how they were all connected, but it also raises the expectations about how the overall story turns out within the confines of the hotel.

'Happy New Year' Production and Where to Watch

The star-studded film is directed by "The Classic" filmmaker Kwak Jae Yong for CJ Entertainment and TVING.

It is a feel-good romance comedy film that was thoroughly helmed for months to give warmth and comfort in the chilly, wintry holiday season.

"Happy New Year" is set to be released three days before the year ends, December 29. It will also be available for worldwide fans through legal streaming media TVING.
