As soon as the whole team reached the Balhae station, they refilled their life support systems to help them regulate their breathing.

While checking the abandoned lunar base, they noticed a series of dead bodies. Based on Doc Hong's observation, the cause of death might be drowning.

However, Song Jian insists that they still need to undergo a further investigation to know the reason behind their deaths, but Captain Han insists that they should prioritize their responsibility and that is to bring back the samples.

Another thing that puzzled the team was the station's radiation level. Upon Gong Soo Chan's reading, the level was quite normal in all areas, which the team found strange.

To recall, the government revealed that the crew's death was due to the radiation leak.

"Unless the government report wasn't true," Song Jian mentioned, adding that they were clueless on what specific radioactive substance killed the crew, suspecting that they were hiding vital information from them.

Locating the Samples + Operation 'Luna'

Upon reaching the command center, everyone was in awe of how impressive the project was. Everything is still working except for the communication system, which Lieutenant Ryu Tae Suk is sorting.

Aside from it, based on the system, Soochan checked that all life support and radiation levels were standard; even the areas that were said to be contaminated seemed okay.

"Why would they shut this place down if everything was normal?" co-pilot Lee Gi Su asked.

Here, Song Jian started to take off her helmet and was followed by the others.

With the additional information, she reminded the captain to do a thorough investigation and full inspection of the station, but Han Yunjae reiterated that their mission was the group's top priority.

Captain Han regrouped them and split them into three teams to locate three storages.

Han Yunjae went alongside Doc Hong and E2 to storage one while Lieutenant Ryu Tae Suk, Kim Hee Sun, Soochan and E1 were in storage two and the rest were in storage three.

With the captain leading the first group, they discovered a pile of dead bodies falling through the door.

While Doc Hong quickly examined the bodies, she noted that the cause might be drowning due to the characteristics found in every cadaver.

"The Silent Sea" episode 2 also featured a flashback between Mr. Hwang and Song Jian before their takeoff.

The astrobiologist asked Mr. Hwang something about "Luna," which she saw in one of her sister's files.

He revealed that "Luna" was the database of Balhae station, which piqued her interest and she is now on the hunt to find it.

As "The Silent Sea" wraps up its second episode, the mystery sci-fi series left the viewers with a slow-paced horror ride as the team encountered a chaotic scenario.

While Lieutenant Ryu Tae Suk's team reached its destination, the members looked for evidence that could lead them to the possible locations of the samples.

However, Gong Soochan was able to find one near a deceased body; unfortunately, as soon as he grabbed the capsule, a small participle from the deceased's mouth entered his eye.

On the other hand, co-pilot Lee Gi Su tricked Song Jian and Chief Gong Soo Hyuk so he could be alone at the third storage.

Just when he thought that he could get the sample, a mysterious creature appeared, taking away the sample and ending up killing the astronaut.

Song Jian witnessed the incident and immediately alerted the captain.

"The Silent Sea" episode 2 suggests unraveling a shocking incident that might have involved  Lee Gi Su and Gong Soochan.
