'The Red Sleeve Cuff' Star Lee Junho Stays Grounded as an Idol and Actor
"Beast" idol and dashing Lee Junho had his first interview on January 4, following the successful finale of his comeback and megahit drama "The Red Sleeve Cuff."
He answered questions that most of the fans wanted to hear. The "Wok of Love" star was asked about his recent appearance at the 2021 MBC Drama Awards, where he introduced himself as "2PM's Junho."
The idol-actor got honest about it and answered, "I think I have mentioned this a lot of times before while promoting with 2PM. There were times when I didn't have the force to promote 2PM with my name and I felt bad and hurt for it."
Lee Junho continued and said that it's almost 14 years since he debuted, and he felt heartbroken in the past every time he remembers those times when he couldn't promote with his group.
The "Good Manager" actor started his acting career in 2013, and debuted as a singer in Japan, did many world tours, and received lots of love from fans.
He went on, "With all the things that happened in my career, my mind hasn't changed and I think it's natural to address myself as 2PM's Junho."
Lee Junho added that nowadays, young fans know him as an actor as he looks different as an idol when promoting with 2PM members. And there are still people who have not recognized the second-generation K-pop boy group 2PM yet.
He concluded by saying, "I think it's not important to attend the ceremony as an actor or as an idol, for me, anything is okay as long as I act well and do my job as an artist."
Lee Junho received the Top Excellence Actor Award and Best Couple Award with Lee Se Young at the 2021 MBC Drama Awards for their series "The Red Sleeve Cuff."
What's Next for 2PM's Lee Junho
Lee Junho has lots of schedules in the upcoming weeks. He will appear at MBC's Radio Star together with onscreen partner Lee Se Young. The 2PM member is also confirmed to have his two day offline fanmeeting "Junho The Moment" in Seoul this coming January 22 and 23 to thank fans and also in celebration of his 32nd birthday on January 25.
In addition, Junho's YouTube channel and Instagram account are consistently gaining massive following after he starred in MBC's "The Red Sleeve Cuff."
