IU Receives a Thoughtful Gift From ‘Hotel Del Luna’ Co-Star Lee Do Hyun During Reunion at Golden Disc Awards 2022
IU reunited with her "Hotel Del Luna" co-star Lee Do Hyun and got a special gift from the actor.
The singer and actress took the opportunity to show off her love for the South Korean heartthrob when they bumped into each other at the Golden Disc Awards 2022.

The duo attended the 36th Golden Disc Awards held on January 8th, where Lee Do Hyun graced the annual event to present an award while the "Lilac" songstress took home multiple trophies, including Album Bonsang, Digital Bonsang, and the Digital Daesang known as the grand prize.
Interestingly, the reunion became one of their night's highlights after IU shared their photo on her Instagram, noting that the "Youth of May" star gave her a special gift.
Both were donning a black and white ensemble for the event; Lee Do Hyun and the "Strawberry Moon" hitmaker were all smiles as they posed in front of the camera.
In addition, the Kpop star shared how sweet the 26-year-old actor was towards her and the staff.
"He even takes care of the staff. So good to meet him again, our nice and generous firefly," IU's Instagram story caption reads alongside a photo showing off the macarons that Lee Do Hyun gifted her.
To recall, the singer-actress and Lee Do Hyun starred in the rom-com fantasy Kdrama "Hotel Del Luna" alongside Yeo Jin Goo and more.
In the 2019 tvN series, IU took on the role of the hotel CEO Jang Man Wol while the actor played the firefly and Yeongju Captain of the Guards Go Chung Myung.

Lee Do Hyun Shared IU's Advice to Him
The duo's friendship remained after the hit Kdrama wrapped up its broadcast.
In 2020, Lee Do Hyun graced the covers of GQ Korea's November issue and revealed the advice that IU gave her.
During the interview with the publication, he recalled what the singer-actress told him while watching his Kdrama "18 Again."
"IU watched '18 Again' and told me, 'A lead role can feel like a heavy burden, and you feel a lot of pressure to do well, but there's also a lot to enjoy, so have fun with it," he said noting that he and the Kpop star maintain their friendship even after "Hotel Del Luna."
The JTBC series and the Korean remake of Zac Efron's "17 Again" was one of Lee Do Hyun's claims to fame as an actor.
After landing the role of Hong Dae Young in "18 Again," he starred in numerous lead roles, including Netflix's "Sweet Home," "Youth of May," and "Melancholia."
This 2022, he is set to team up with Hallyu star Song Hye Kyo in "The Glory" penned by "Goblin" and "Descendants of the Sun" screenwriter Kim Eun Sook.
As for IU, after releasing her new digital single "Strawberry Moon," she is set to the big screen with two movies-" Broker" with Bae Doona and "Parasite" star Song Kang Ho and comedy Sports film "Dream" alongside Park Seo Joon.
