‘The Red Sleeve Cuff’ Director Gets Real Why Lee Junho and Lee Se Young are the Best Duo to Work With
In continuation of her first-ever media interview released on January 12 by various K-media outlets, Director Jung Ji In gets honest about how it was like to work with "The Red Sleeve Cuff" cast, especially Lee Se Young and 2PM's Lee Junho, and the teamwork that they shared in order to have a successful run.

Director Jung Ji In revealed Lee Junho and Lee Se Young's personalities and professionalism on and off the lens.
She started by saying, "To be honest, Lee Junho and Lee Se Young are never satisfied with themselves when it comes to acting. They are thoughtful and considerate of their workmates. As a director, they were the best duo to work with."
She continued, "With this kind of drama genre, the chemistry between the actors are really important, and Lee Se Young and Lee Junho were consistent in discussing how they would act out and deliver their scenes during rehearsals."
The director of the drama shared that sometimes she had to control herself as she knew that they would all be laughing at how the onscreen couple joked around each other.
She also admired 2PM's Junho and Lee Se Young because they become focused right away whenever the cameras would start rolling.
Jung Ji In continued to praise the lead stars for their dedication at work and the professionalism that they both have, which also became an important part of the drama's success.

The director said that Lee Se Young never lets go of her script. The "Hit the Top" actress always writes down notes and makes memos. Even though it was already a good take for the director, Lee Se Young will still ask her to shoot the scene again if she's not satisfied with her acting.
Different from the other actors, the actress doesn't monitor herself, and when the director asked her why, the "Kairos" star told her that it's because she trusts her.

The director added that Lee Junho used to say that it was difficult for him to memorize the long lines, but he always had his lines memorized and gracefully combined his emotional elements to it for a powerful execution.
She continued, "When we finished filming, Junho constantly asks how he did. I tell him that he did great and killed his scenes, but the actor seems discontented with himself and seriously assesses his performance to improve his performance."
With her experience of working for the first time with Lee Se Young and Lee Junho, Director Jung Ji In believes that the two brilliant actors would have had great success even without "The Red Sleeve Cuff."
Before she ended her interview, the director mentioned that she was grateful and it was a great honor for her to be able to meet and work with them. Director Jung Ji In wishes to see them again in the future.
