The blockbuster hit drama "Our Beloved Summer" recently concluded on a great note. Lead stars Kim Sung Cheol and Noh Jung Ui bid goodbye to the drama, and also talked about their thoughts, honest feelings towards the ending.

Kim Sung Cheol and Noh Jung Ui Shares Memorable Scenes and Thoughts 'Our Beloved Summer' Ending

In the drama, Kim Sung Cheol and Noh Jung Ui aroused the sympathy of many viewers with their respective roles.

Kim Sung Cheol took on the role of documentary producing director Kim Ji Woong, Choi Woong's (Choi Woo Sik) friend and a person who's secretly in love with Kook Yeon Soo (Kim Da Mi). Noh Jung Ui played the role of top idol NJ, who has an unrequited love with Choi Woong.

Despite their unfortunate situations, the two gave healing and comfort to people who experience the same problem as their characters. They both perfectly conveyed the complex emotions of their roles up until the end of the drama.

Kim Sung Cheol shared his honest feelings on the drama, saying, "It's such a pity that it has already ended. I wish there were more stories from them, but the time to let go has come."

"I'm very grateful to do a project with the actors I love," Noh Jung Ui said, "From start to finish, it's a work that I'll be thinking about for a very long time."

The ninth episode where Ji Woong catches Woong and Yeon Soo at the former's house, standing next to each other cutely was Kim Sung Cheol's most favorite scene in the drama. He said, "It was difficult to concentrate because I couldn't stop smiling."

For Noh Jung Ui, the scene where NJ and Woong became friends at the artist's exhibition was her favorite scene. She gave a little TMI, saying, "The weight of the flower [I gave Woong] was heavier than I thought."

The actors shared the efforts they exerted in order to fully transform into their respective characters. According to Kim Sung Cheol, he mostly focused on his character's eyes, facial expressions and voice to perfectly control his emotions.

"I always think about how I would show my emotions as Ji Woong, and I just put myself into his shoes. The emotions just came out naturally."

On the other hand, Noh Jung Ui expressed her emotions in a brighter way. At first, the actress held back in fear that she'll create an ugly character, but soon realized that NJ should be bright, warm and expressive.

Will They Collaborate With Kim Da Mi and Choi Woo Sik Again?

Both of the actors were thankful to have worked with Choi Woo Sik and Kim Da Mi. When asked about the idea of working together with the two again, Kim Sung Cheol and Noh Jung instantaneously agreed.

"The synchronicity with the two of them is 1005," Kim Sung Cheol revealed, "The seniors and juniors I worked with before, as well as the staff, said that they were all nice people. I learned a lot from the drama."

Noh Jung is most thankful for Choi Woo Sik, who became a mentor, companion and a friend to NJ, especially during her lowest time.

"Thanks to all the viewers who have been with us for eight weeks," Kim Sung Cheol said, "I've been Ji Woong for almost a year. So I hope that the drama continues to become a huge drama film."

Noh Jung Ui, on the other hand, said, "I love "Our Beloved Summer, it's a great movie that allowed me to grow both as a person and an actor."

When asked what genre they want to try in the future, the latter says, "I want to get my own leading man, different actors for each other. I want to become an actor with a great versatility."

Meanwhile, Kim Sung Cheol is set to transform into L in the upcoming musical "Death Note." He revealed, "The energy that the stage gives me is phenomenal and I have wanted to do this project since day one, so please look forward to seeing it!"
