Difference of Performing on Stage and Acting On Screen
During the online press conference of Disney+'s "Rookie Cops," lead star Kang Daniel shared his thoughts and worries in doing his first-ever drama.
Being on stage and on screen are two different jobs for the young CEO. He shared that most of his years in the industry, he has been active in producing music and performing on stage.
This pushed Kang Daniel to try something new. After receiving lots of offers and reviewing good scripts, the young actor chose "Rookie Cops" as his first K-drama.
Just like on stage, there is pressure in every performance, which KD finds similar while acting. But in performing live in front of the crowd, there's no repetition, no cut and everything should proceed according to the plan, which is different from doing a drama.
When you make a mistake, the director can cut it immediately and the actors can repeat their lines until they perfect the required scenes. Kang Daniel revealed that during his first week of filming "Rookie Cops," he got nervous and committed blunders.
Nonetheless, thanks to his co-actors, especially Chae Soo Bin who has been in the acting field for years, they helped him be comfortable on the set and guided him well.
Lee Junho Impresses Kang Daniel With His Acting in 'The Red Sleeve Cuff'
In the interview, Kang Daniel was asked if he has a role model since venturing in the acting areana. He stated lots of his seniors are excellent idol-actors. But among them, KD named 2PM's Lee Junho as someone he looks up to.
According to the rookie, he was impressed by Lee Junho's performance in "The Red Sleeve Cuff". The multitalented star added that he enjoyed watching Junho in his recent drama.
Since he is still new in the industry, for KD, every senior idol-actor that he knows has their distinct personalities and charms.
