It's official! The much-anticipated "Arthdal Chronicles" Season 2 has been confirmed!
With production budget of 10 billion KRW (8.4 million USD), the drama is set for release in 2023.

tvN's 'Arthdal Chronicles' Season 2 To Have Production Budget of 10 Billion KRW
Multiple media outlets announced on February 21 that the much-awaited "Arthdal Chronicles" Season 2 is finally happening.
Moreover, the production team is already making preparations for the possible filming this year.

tvN's masterpiece "Arthdal Chronicles" will meet again the viewers after almost four years since season one aired in 2019. Original drama writers Park Sang Yeon to team up with Kim Young Hyun are reported to pen the script, while "The Great Battle" director Kim Kwang Sik is in charge to spearhead the team.
In addition, 10 billion krw is reportedly the allotted budget for the production. The all-time scale and set shooting shown in "Arthdal Chronicles" season 1 are all expected to continue until season 2.

"Arthdal Chronicles" was one of tvN's megahit series in 2019. It is a fantasy series set in the land of Arth, a mythical land forged by tribes, and the kingdom is headed by leaders of tribes, who mutually dislike each other in secret.
Eun Seom, portrayed by Song Joong Ki, who wants to bring his tribe back to life, goes through hardships and later learns his origin.
Will Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won Reprise Roles in 'Arthdal Chronicles' Season 2?
In season 1, Song Joong Ki, Kim Ji Won, Jang Dong Gun, Song Joong Ki, Kim Ji Won, and Kim Ok Bin were the lead stars of the fantasy series. They worked with director Ki Won Seok.
Production company Studio Dragon said that Jang Dong Gun has the possibility to make a comeback in season 2.
However, even though the drama is already in the process of doing the script, the cast for season 2 has not been confirmed yet as the team is still coordinating with its previous main cast.
Arthdal Chronicles Season 2
Earlier in 2021, there were already reports that announced the possibility of drama production and also mentioned the expansion of worldwide views by producing games and webtoons. Studio Dragon will collaborate with YLab to produce "Arthdal Chronicles" in webtoon.
In addition, the production will start filming as soon as possible and aim to air the new season in 2023.
Ki Ailes (Song Joong Ki fandom) and Kim Ji Won's fans hope for the two actors' return to "Arthdal Chronicles" Season 2.
