Jung Hae In, BLACKPINK Jisoo's 'Snowdrop' Proven To Never Distorted History

According to the investigation conducted by Korea Communications Standard Commission (KCSC), the JTBC romance drama "Snowdrop" starring Jung Hae In and BLACKPINK Jisoo never distorted history nor undermined the pro-democracy movement.

"Snowdrop" received flak after suspicions of historical distortion, which brought South Korean scholars and professors from several universities together to file a petition against the drama.

Although JTBC pushed through the broadcast, the Declaration of Global Citizens in Korea also filed for injunction.

To the civic group's disappointment, the Seoul Western District Court dismissed the request for an injunction. They said that there are no laws in existence that protects the pro-democracy movement from historical distortion.

On March 30, KCSC ended the discussion between fans and critics. The KCSC stated that there was nothing wrong with Jung Hae In and BLACKPINK Jisoo's drama.

"Snowdrop" took place at the time of the military regime in collusion with the North Korean government. However, the network did not intend to repeat history nor twist the facts.

Instead, "Snowdrop" aimed to open the eyes of the people in the modern world about what happened in the past. Liberty and happiness are hindered by unjustness.

BLACKPINK Jisoo, along with her fellow members, hinted at a comeback with a new full album this 2022. Nothing has been confirmed yet but stay tuned for updates!

On the other hand, Jung Hae In reprises his role as a Korean military police in the blockbuster dama "D.P." with Koo Kyo Han, Kim Sung Kyun and Seon Seok Koo.

"Connect" is helmed by Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike, the mind behind "Audition" and "13 Assassins."
