The actor will be in a new show called "God Bless The Assemblyman" (unofficial title) that is based on a popular web novel. This week is when filming is set to start. The cast, which includes Kim Yoon Seok, Ryu Kyung Soo, and Ahn Eun Jin, has already read the first script.

Star Today reported that the drama is about a powerful member of the National Assembly who dies and then comes back as a ghost. He teams up with a low-ranking civil servant played by Kim Seon Ho, who is an unlikely pair. They work together to deal with political power struggles in a story that mixes fantasy and politics.

Kim Seon Ho plays the role of Cha Jae Rim, a 9th-grade civil servant with the ability to see ghosts. This odd ability forces him to partner with the ghost of a deceased politician, thus putting him in a battle for supremacy at the National Assembly.

While this concept may be appealing, the report on the casting list has renewed the criticisms of Kim Seon Ho's past. As reported by Koreaboo, the news that he would be participating—especially since filming was about to start—caused a lot of negative reactions in online communities.

A lot of the backlash comes from people still being angry about the actor's past problems, like the recent one with the National Tax Service, which he apologized for and paid more money for. People who don't like him have asked if he is right for the part of a public official.

People on the popular online forum theqoo were very clear about how angry they were.

Users shared strong reactions to the casting decision. "Damn it, not my favorite web novel!!!" Other commenters echoed similar disappointment. "I want a refund for the novel." Some responses were more pointed in their criticism. "He really had to go ruin it for everyone, huh?"

A number of users questioned the casting choice directly. "I don't get it. Why aren't they replacing him? Setting aside the past controversies... He even had tax issues exposed. Does he really fit a public official role?"

Additional comments reflected skepticism toward the industry. "Why does he keep getting cast? Who's backing him?" Still, not all reactions were negative, with a few expressing anticipation. "Oh this looks fun, I'm looking forward to it."

The mixed but mostly negative response shows that there is still a divide among fans about Kim Seon Ho's return to big projects. Some people still support him, but others are still questioning his role in big productions.
