TVING Introduces Kim Go Eun’s Comeback in ‘Yumi’s Cells 2’
TVING is set for the return of Kim Go Eun's character in "Yumi's Cells 2."
After the webtoon-based series gained positive responses from the viewers, Kim Yumi and the rest of her adorable cells will return this year.
'Yumi's Cells 2' Announces Premiere Date
The broadcast network teased fans with the official poster, featuring Kim Go Eun playing the titular role of Yumi.
On its official Instagram, TVING features the main character joined by her two cells, Love and Rational.
Interestingly, Kim Yumi now dons long hair but keeps her iconic full fringe.
Aside from the official poster TVING also hints at the "Yumi's Cells 2" release date, slated to air this June. Over social media, fans expressed how thrilled they are to watch Kim Go Eun continue her love journey as Yumi in the second season.
Aside from the actress, viewers are also looking forward to Sepho's lovely cells and how they interact with Yumi's actions.

In addition, fans are also thrilled to see the team-up between Kim Go Eun and GOT7's Jinyoung, who will reprise his role as Yoo Bobby.
The 30-year-old beauty also took to social media as she shared the announcement with her followers. Kim Go Eun's Instagram featured a "Yumi's Cells 2" poster, teasing fans about the K-drama's nearing premiere date.
While the fans can't wait for the comeback of Yumi, Kim Go Eun's celebrity friend, BLACKPINK's Rosé, showed her support for the actress and her new drama.

To recall, the K-pop star met the actress during her guest appearance on the healing reality show "Sea of Hope."
The same goes for "Hospital Playlist" actress Ahn Eun Jin, who wrote "Finally," showing that she's also looking forward to the drama's release.
'Yumi's Cells' 2: What to Expect on the Upcoming Sequel?
Released in 2021, the webtoon-based series featured the main character Yumi and her journey of finding love, together with a group of adorable cells at Sepho Village, led by Love cell.
However, after the rom-com drama aired its finale episode on October 30, it announced plans for its return, with a message that reads, "see you in season 2 soon."
As for the highly anticipated sequel, screenwriter Song Jae Jung revealed that the second season would focus on the love story between Yumi and her co-worker Yoo Bobby.
As noted by a local outlet, she revealed that the plot will highlight each character's growth and will be more dynamic as compared to the first season.
Aside from Kim Go Eun and GOT7's Jinyoung, "Yumi's Cells 2" cast also includes Ahn Bo Hyun, Park Ji Hyun, and of course, Lee Yoo Bi as Rubi.
