‘Tomorrow’ Episode 11 Reveal Why Yun Ji On Decides to be a Grim Reaper

"Tomorrow" episode 11 uncovers the tragic past of Yun Ji On, who plays I'm Ryung Goo, a member of the Risk Management Team alongside Choi Joon Woong (Rowoon) and team leader Goo Ryeon (Kim Hee Sun.)
The upcoming episodes of the webtoon-based action fantasy K-drama will reveal the past lives of grim reapers.
In episode 11, viewers witness how one incident changed the whole life of I'm Ryung Goo and what prompted him to become a grim reaper.
'Tomorrow' Episode 11: I'm Ryung Goo Leaves Risk Management Team
The eleventh episode began with other employees at Jumadeung gossiping about the last case that the RM team had.
It was after a woman was sexually harassed and wanted to take her own life because of her trauma.
At the headquarters, rumor sparked that I'm Ryung Goo murdered four people in the Land of the Living. Choi Joon Woong went ballistic and defended his colleague.
He went straight to the team leader and told him about the rumors circulating at the headquarters.
However, Goo Ryeon seems calm and unbothered by all the talks at Jumadeung. She, later on, tells Choi Joon Woong what really happened with I'm Ryung Goo.
I'm Ryung Goo's Tragic Past
Growing up, the young I'm Ryung Goo experienced nothing but love from his mother. Despite not having a father by his side, his mother, Lim Yoo Hwa, filled his heart with support and love.
Unlike many other kids, I'm Ryung Goo was smart and eager to learn how to read and write. Unfortunately, commoners don't have the privilege to go to school. With the guidance of his mother, he was able to learn reading and writing.
In one scene, the little I'm Ryung Goo gets teased a lot. The kids make fun of him for learning how to read and write and they don't believe that his mother, a commoner, taught him these.
It appears that Lim Yoo Hwa was a daughter of a scholar and a nobleman in their neighborhood. Unfortunately, he got addicted to gambling and even came to a point where he sold his own daughter.
As for Lim Yoo Hwa's life with her son, she tried to raise him as best as she could but the situation tested both of them.

I'm Ryung Goo's Nightmare
Lim Yoo Hwa was dubbed as a prostitute by one of the higher ups at their town. She was gang-raped by three men after she refused to be his mistress.
I'm Ryung Goo saw these men leave their house and thought that the rumors about her mother were true.
He was furious and told his mother how humiliated he was. However, he was shocked to see that his mother had committed suicide by hanging herself.
"Tomorrow" episode 11 also featured how I'm Ryung Goo grew up with hatred. After knowing that those three men sexually assaulted his mother, he got his revenge and murdered four people, including the higher up who looked down on his mother.
Goo Ryeon, who was then a member of the crisis team, escorted him into the afterlife.
Surprisingly, she was also the one who accompanied his mother and told Ryung Goo how his mother truly loved him.
Because of this, he wanted to be a grim reaper and not be reincarnated. He explained to Goo Ryeon that he wanted to watch over his mother from afar.
"Tomorrow" episode 12 release date is set for May 8 via MBC and Netflix.
