Kim Jong Kook & ‘A Gentleman and Lady’s’ Ji Hyun Woo to Star in New MBC Variety Show

'I Live Alone' Producer to Work with Kim Jong Kook and Ji Hyun Woo in 'While Hem Flying
News1 stated on May 11 that producer Hwang Ji Young, who is the brilliant mind behind the famous Korean variety show "I Live Alone" is working on a new program to be released this year.
In addition to the report, PD Ji Young is preparing for MBC's new entertainment show, "While Hem Flying" (working title), which is said to also premiere in the second half of 2022. The program's concept includes filming overseas, and singer-host Kim Jong Kook and actor Ji Hyun Woo are considered two of the main cast of the show. The producer is said to start filming soon with the two stars.

Producer Hwang Ji Young directed MBC's "I Live Alone" for almost five years since October 2016. He solidified the program by having these top stars consisting of Gian, Sung Hoon, Hwasa, Jeon Hyun Moo, and Park Na Rae, who have shown their daily lives to the public.
The concept of the show immediately gained the viewers' interest, particularly when their favorite Korean stars were featured in the broadcast episodes.
In return for the successful variety program, Hwang Ji Young bagged the Best Entertainment Program award for three consecutive years starting from 2017 to 2019. In addition, its cast also received recognition for their outstanding performances, in 2017, Jeon Hyun Moo won the MBC Broadcasting Entertainment Award and Park Na Rae received the same award in 2019.
With all these achievements that "I Live Alone" and its stars have achieved, many are looking forward to producer Hwang Ji Young's next project for they expect it to be a hit like his previous masterpiece.
'While Hem Flying' Scheduled to Premiere This Year
Meanwhile, there are no confirmed names of celebrities yet who will be coming to make guest appearances in the upcoming show. Hence, viewers can finally see Kim Jong Kook and Ji Hyun Woo in one frame as they collaborate for the first time in a new entertainment program.
Kim Jong Kook, who has established himself as an all-around in the entertainment industry, has already won the public's attention since he consistently brings joy and laughter to the longest-running Korean variety show "Running Man."
He also handles his own YouTube vlog. On the other hand, this will be the first time for K-drama fans to see "Queen In Hyun's Man" lead star Ji Hyun Woo appear in an entertainment program, following his successful drama comeback with "A Gentleman and Lady," where he won Daesang at the KBS 2021 Drama Awards.
